🥫 Pantry items
🍞 Bakery items

💛💙 SUNDAY LEGENDS 💙💛

Just look at this crew.

While most people were enjoying a Sunday afternoon, these legends were loading trucks, sorting produce, lifting crates, packing food, and making sure good food didn’t go to waste.

By the time they were finished, our warehouse looked like this…

As Leanne, our Warehouse Supervisor, put it:

“Our warehouse is bursting at the seams with all the beautiful produce collected today. There should be some very happy clients this week 😍”

And she’s right.

Every crate collected today means more fresh fruit and vegetables on family tables this week.

Every box unloaded means one less family having to choose between paying a bill and buying groceries.

Every volunteer who showed up today helped turn surplus food into hope.

From our market collection team, to our warehouse sorting crew, to the young legends who rolled up their sleeves and helped out too — thank you.

You might see crates of tomatoes, beans, lettuce and produce.

We see hundreds of meals.

We see families being able to breathe a little easier.

We see a community that continues to show up for each other.

What an incredible team. We couldn’t do this without you. ❤️

Meet Mark.

If you’ve spent any time around Puddle Jumpers, chances are you’ve crossed paths with Mark.

One minute he’s fixing something that needed doing, the next he’s helping in the market room, washing dishes at the Northern Hub, volunteering in one of our op shops, assisting at an event, or working his magic as the newest social media guru for our Queenstown Op Shop.

The thing about Mark is that no job is ever too small and no task is ever beneath him. He simply sees what needs doing and gets it done.

He’s reliable, generous with his time, always willing to lend a hand, and brings a great sense of humour wherever he goes. The kind of volunteer every organisation dreams of having.

People often see the big programs, the events, the camps and the food relief. What they don’t always see are people like Mark working quietly behind the scenes, helping make it all happen.

Mark, thank you for the countless ways you support Puddle Jumpers. Your time, your skills, your energy and your heart make a bigger difference than you probably realise.

We’re incredibly lucky to have you on the team. 💙

Tell us something you needed as a child that wasn’t a thing.

Start with:

A lot of the children we work with don’t need more stuff.

They need things like:

* someone to turn up
* someone to listen
* somewhere to belong
* someone to believe in them

Tell us:

What is something you needed as a child that wasn’t a thing?

That one gets people sharing very personal stories and usually attracts huge engagement because everyone has an answer.

National recognition. National conversations. National impact.

Last night, Puddle Jumpers was proud to represent South Australia on the national stage as a finalist in the BEAM Sustainability Awards.

While we didn’t take home the trophy, being recognised amongst some of Australia’s leading organisations was an incredible honour.

What many people don’t realise is that sustainability at Puddle Jumpers looks a little different.

It’s rescuing food that would otherwise go to waste and putting it onto family dinner tables.

It’s giving clothing, toys, books and household items a second life through our op shops and programs.

It’s creating sustainable pathways of support for children and families so they can thrive, not just survive.

And it’s building a volunteer-powered organisation that turns community generosity into real impact every single day.

This recognition belongs to our volunteers, supporters, donors, staff, partners and every person who has ever backed Puddle Jumpers.

Thank you for helping us prove that sustainability isn’t just about what we save from landfill — it’s about the lives we help change along the way.

Congratulations to all of the finalists and award winners. We are incredibly proud to have been part of the conversation and excited for what comes next. 💙

🧡 OUR SUNDAY MARKET CREW COULD USE A FEW MORE MATES 🧡

Firstly, a huge thank you to the incredible volunteers who have been showing up week after week for our Sunday Market runs. We are genuinely thrilled with the team we’ve built. These legends give up their Sundays to help collect tonnes of fresh produce that ends up feeding families across our community.

The challenge is that our crew is still quite small.

When a couple of people are away, unwell, working, spending time with family, or taking a well-earned break, it doesn’t leave many hands to collect, sort and unload what can be a massive amount of produce.

That’s where we’re hoping a few more people might like to jump on board.

🍎 No special skills needed
💪 Just a willingness to lend a hand
🚗 We could also use 1-2 drivers (car licence only)

📍 Sundays
• 11:30am Kilkenny
• 12:00pm Pooraka Markets
• Back to Kilkenny to unload

You don’t need to commit every week. Even helping occasionally helps strengthen the team and means the load is shared amongst more people.

With Bagster Road now reopened and demand for fresh food remaining high, every extra pair of hands helps us get more good-quality produce to the people who need it most.

If you’ve ever thought, “I’d like to help out one day,” this might be your sign. 🧡

Send us a message and come see what the Sunday Market crew is all about.

This approach feels more like “come join our awesome team” rather than “please save us”, which I think fits Puddle Jumpers much better. 💛

🌟 SOUTH AUSTRALIA’S YOUNG ACHIEVER OF THE YEAR 2026 🌟

What a night for Bailee Phillips.

Last night, Bailee was recognised with the University Senior College Create Change Award before being announced as the 2026 Channel 7 South Australia Young Achiever of the Year.

For those of us at Puddle Jumpers, this recognition comes as no surprise.

From a young volunteer finding her feet, to a mentor, advocate and leader helping shape the experiences of countless children and young people, watching Bailee’s journey has been one of the great privileges of our organisation.

Over the years, we have watched her grow into an exceptional young leader. Someone who quietly gets on with the job, shows up for others, gives her time generously and genuinely cares about making a difference.

Whether she’s on camp supporting children, mentoring young people, helping behind the scenes, speaking up when it matters or creating opportunities for others, Bailee leads with kindness, authenticity and determination.

This award recognises the impact of one young person, but it also highlights what is possible when young people are given opportunities to lead, contribute and be heard.

We are incredibly proud of Bailee and everything she has achieved.

We also want to acknowledge the other nine finalists recognised tonight. Congratulations to Cody 0bst, Neve Taylor, Xavier O’Loughlin, Emily H***e and Hailey Dahlenberg who were all present! South Australia is filled with extraordinary young people doing incredible things in their communities, and it was wonderful to see their contributions celebrated.

Bailee, thank you for your heart, your commitment and your unwavering belief that things can always be made better for others.

Congratulations on being named the recipient of the University Senior College Create Change Award and the 2026 Channel 7 South Australia Young Achiever of the Year.

What an incredible and well-deserved achievement. 💜

Can you believe it?

Tonight, at exactly the same time, we have not one, but TWO incredible finalists representing the Puddle Jumpers family.

💜 Bailee Phillips is a finalist in the 2026 7NEWS SA Young Achiever Awards.

💜 And Melanie Tate is in Melbourne as a finalist in the National Beam Awards for the Sustainable Impact Award.

What are the chances?

From a young person who has turned challenges into leadership, to a grassroots charity powered by volunteers, supporters, children, families and community, tonight feels pretty special.

Of course, we’d love to bring home an award or two. But honestly, being named finalists is already something worth celebrating.

Bailee’s nomination represents the incredible young leader she has become. Watching her grow, find her voice and step into opportunities to create change has been a privilege. She is proof of what can happen when young people are given support, encouragement and the chance to shine.

Melanie’s nomination reflects more than a decade of work alongside an extraordinary community of volunteers, partners and supporters who show up every day to make life better for children and families doing it tough.

No matter what happens tonight, these nominations belong to every volunteer, donor, supporter, young person, family and community member who has been part of the journey.

Two finalists. Two awards. Two different cities.

One very proud Puddle Jumpers family. 💜

Wish us luck, and we’ll update you later tonight! 🤞✨
