🚨 Free Online Webinar: PSHB Awareness for Arborists

Polyphagous shot-hole borer (PSHB) is an invasive pest that attacks a wide range of tree species and poses a significant risk to our natural environment. As part of our response, our team is focused on educating and training industry stakeholders on PSHB identification, management, and reporting. Although PSHB is currently contained in WA, the training will provide a solid background in PSHB Management in the event the pest breaches borders and spreads (we also include Risk Reduction and Mitigation practices your organisation can adopt).

Learn what to look for, what to do if you suspect PSHB, and how our industry can help protect Australia’s trees through early detection and reporting.

Got old Tree Climbing Comp photos or footage? 🌳🧗‍♂️

The ITCC is celebrating 50 years in 2026, and ISA is putting together a special anniversary video — built from the climbing community itself.

If you’ve got anything tucked away, now’s the time to dig it out:
• Comp or podium shots
• Training days or team moments
• Volunteer memories
• Behind-the-scenes clips
• Old (or recent) ITCC footage

This is all about capturing the people and stories that shaped ITCC over the years — and Aussies/Kiwis have definitely been part of that.

Want to contribute? Send your photos/videos to [email protected] ASAP

Could be a great chance to see some classic moments (and haircuts) make it into the 50th video 👀

Trace Balla, author of Treeshape, Rivertime, and Rockhopping, says "Ever since I was a kid my favourite place has always been up a tree". Her latest graphic novel explores many issues; trees, a love of trees, protection of trees and the wonderful natural world around us.

Another exceptional book that will appeal to young and old alike, with sensational illustrations in Balla's unique style, and deeper messages for anyone ready to explore them.

Highly recommended
