Mordie is missing out on a lot of love since his young owner died. It has been tough on Mordie having his favourite person here one day and gone the next.

Mordie needs someone who can shower him with love and attention.

He is a social and sweet cat who likes the company of humans.

Mordie has been around dogs for most of his life and interacts well with dogs in his home. He has never been exposed to other cats.

Mordie is a little overweight, but otherwise is healthy.

Five years old.
Desexed and microchipped.
Last vaccinated August 2026.
Vet checked.

👑Little Chloe has been adopted👑

Chloe has been showered with love from her human sisters. Chloe loves to sit on their lap and fall asleep. She loves her new cat tower and all her gifts her family has bought her. Chloe has also made friends with the dog!

Andrew and Mia attended an excellent ‘Pet First Aid Basics’ session presented by Lis Brady at the Port Adelaide Veterinary Clinic. 🐾

Topics included how to take vital signs, assessment, safety and awareness, knowledge on poisons, snake bites, trauma, dressings, choking and CPR.✅

The dogs Paige and Ricky kept everyone entertained and allowed us to find their femoral pulse.💗

Paige helped with chest compressions! ⭐

The vital sign parameter poster from the goody bag is now on the fridge!

For Adelaide Hills people.

⚠️ CANINE PARVO VIRUS ALERT ⚠️

While the Adelaide Hills is usually considered a low-risk area for canine parvovirus, we have had two positive cases at our clinic in the past two weeks. These pets have been out in the local community.

Please help protect your pets by:
🐾 Ensuring vaccinations are up to date
🐾 Keeping puppies who are not yet fully immunised at home and away from areas where other dogs have been

If your pet develops vomiting, diarrhoea, inappetence (not wanting to eat) or lethargy, please call the clinic for advice and let us know about their symptoms before coming in.

We’re sharing this information so our local community can stay informed and help keep our pets safe. 💙

💗Mum Cat Program💗

Thanks to our generous donors, Adelaide Pets Alive! is extending our services to help owned cats and their humans.

If you own a pregnant cat, or a cat that has just had kittens, we are here to break the cycle. If you surrender the kittens into our care (when ready), we will cover the cost to desex the mum cat for free!

Desexing supports a mum cat's physical and mental health. We know that cost is the biggest hurdle to veterinary care, and we want to keep your cat healthy and prevent further litters.

🐾Basic requirements:
- mum cat is an owned pet cat
- cat and owner live in Adelaide

🐾Owner is responsible for:
- keeping the cat indoors
- fasting the cat prior to surgery
- dropping the cat off at the vet in a carrier
- picking up the cat
- providing post op care
- keeping in contact with Adelaide Pets Alive! during mum cats recovery

🐱This is Mimi mum cat. Her 4 kittens were surrendered, fostered, received vet treatment and were adopted. Mimi received her desexing for free and her owners did a wonderful job caring for her.

⭐️Benson has gone on trial⭐️

🩵Benson is available for adoption.🩵

This gorgeous house tiger is approximately 6 years old.

Benson's whole world has changed over the last month. His owner suffered a medical crisis and Benson found himself in a temporary home.

He was incredibly lucky to be taken in by a compassionate person who provided him with love, affection and full veterinary work.

In a very short time, Benson went from being unsure and timid, to being extremely cuddly and affectionate.

Benson currently lives in a house with two other cats. A slow and good introduction has enabled the cats to integrate in the same space.

There are also two medium sized dogs in the home, and even though they have not been in the same space, Benson remains curious about them.

Benson eats Dine wet cat food and enjoys his cat treats!

DOB unknown, vet has aged him at 6 years old.
Desexed and microchipped and vaccinated.
