Britta joins us as a certified Equitots facilitator, now operating through Roots & Wings Ministry NPC at Worcester Horseriding Club.

Through Roots & Wings Ministry, Britta offers Equine Assisted Learning as part of a community development and children’s ministry, helping young people build life skills, confidence, and emotional grounding through horses.

While she won’t be open for sessions for the general public, we’re incredibly glad to have her work and purpose connected to our wider community.

Roots & Wings Ministry NPC has embarked on a new journey, with an intense focus on equine assisted ministry. A true miracle brought Follow to us, who is doing a fantastic job in helping our kids (and us!) to grow, learn, and understand our heavenly Father's love for each one of us better. Friends, we have some exciting news: Drum-roll for FOLLOW, our newest team-member!! 🥁🐴 He is helping us with the Equine Assisted Learning program, as well as with the Skills Development Project we recently launched for our three students. In September 2024, we heavy-heartedly put a halt to our learning project, which we had offered to four of our boys who were no longer part of the mainstream education system. In February this year, we decided to pick up the pieces once again, as we saw that two of our former students were very serious in their inquiry to reboot the programme. And lo and behold: Not long after we started, the third one also re-joined our group (the remaining learner is meanwhile enrolled at ABET)!

We are happy to report that all three have been super committed and are enjoying the project. We meet twice a week from 9 till 12, to work on basic academics, general knowledge, and life-skills, and most of all to learn about the love and the plans the Father has for each one of us.

The exciting news is that through her involvment with Equity Equine Education and her studies in stable yard management, Britta may soon function as a professional skills provider in this field as well and eventually offer her students a proper NQF level 1/professional groom qualification! Watch this space...

Update 6/6 February 2026:
The ministry's vision is to help people find their true identity, so that they can also discover their destiny and fulfil the purposes God has for them. However, this needs to translate into practical steps, and we believe part of that is to provide tools that help develop skills necessary to navigate life successfully.
But in order to teach skills, we need to equip ourselves first. This is the reason, why Mac participated in the YWAM Skills4All Basic Business Course which ran in November 2025, and was presented by Bruno Loyiso Guntelach. It was such a valuable experience, giving him an opportunity to aquire the knowledge and skill that will help him in the future to launch his small business in woodwork. Such a business venture will not only be vehicle to create some extra income for family and ministry, but also to pass on skill and knowledge to the next generation, to equip them with the building blocks to launch into their own destiny, which is truly his passion and dream.
For the same reason, Britta is continuing her studies with Equity Equine Education (Emma Weitzel). It will equip her to register as a professional skills provider in the area of horse care and stable yard management, offering an opportunity for youngsters to reach a vocational NQF level 1 or even 2, and thus start a career in this field.
WE NEVER STOP LEARNING!!!!

Update 5/6 February 2026:
Together with Kevin Daly, Mac took two groups of kids to Du Toitskloof Hut at the beginning of the summer holidays. Each group spent two nights and went on a beautiful hike into the mountains. We are so grateful for this cooperation with Kevin and the Mountain Club, as it is such a valuable experience for our children on many levels! 🏡
