ASD renders services to children with severe to profound physical and intellectual disabilities through 2 projects:
*SEAN KELLY SPECIAL CARE CENTRE for 44 children
*SEAN KELLY CHILD AND YOUTH CARE CENTRE 24-hour residential care facility with 14 children This is achieved through our two programmes:

* Sean Kelly Special Care Centre: Special Daycare centre serving 44 children (Waterloo street, Wor

cester)
* Sean Kelly Child and Youth Care Centre: 24-hour residential care facility with 14 children (119 Tulbagh street, Worcester)

During the week 44 learners attend our special care centre. Our full time residential centre is home to 14 of these learners who require 24-hour care. At both facilities, hands-on caring takes place by staff who are well equipped and experienced in caring for children with multiple disabilities. Our vision is to make a sustainable difference in the lives of children with sensory disabilities through partnership with the community. We rely on the heartfelt donations from the family and friends of Sean Kelly to meet even the most basic monthly expenses. My name is Chanche-lee Fransman, and I have been working with ASD for over five years.

I feel truly privileged to be part of an organization so deeply dedicated to the well-being of children with severe disabilities. As a caregiver, I firmly believe that every single person is unique and special.

I am a compassionate individual driven to support those who are most vulnerable. Helping others brings me immense joy and fulfills my ultimate purpose.

Let's Breathe Easier Together!

🚭 On 29 May, the children and staff at ASD Sean Kelly Day Care came together to create this special video in commemoration of World No To***co Day, observed annually on 31 May.

At ASD, we support not only children, but also their families and communities. That's why this message is important to us.

Smoking harms your teeth, skin, lungs, and heart, and second-hand smoke can be harmful to children too. If you smoke, consider seeking support to quit, and please don't smoke in the presence of children.

Thank you to our children and staff for helping to spread this important message. Together, we can build healthier families and a healthier community.

❤️ COMMUNITY & COMPASSION IN THE STORM ❤️

​During the recent heavy storms, tragedy struck incredibly close to home. One of our very own beloved colleagues lost there home and absolutely everything inside it. This beautiful family of five saw their lives turned upside down.

​Faced with this devastating loss, they have had to relocate and start completely from scratch. When they moved into their new space, they didn't have beds to sleep on.

​As a team, we put out a call to see how we could help get them back on their feet—and the response has been nothing short of a blessing. ✨

​We want to extend a massive, heartfelt thank you to two incredibly generous pillars of support:

​🔹 Our Private Donor: Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for stepping up immediately and donating the initial funds to purchase beds for the family. Your kindness provided comfort when it was needed most.

🔹 AAA Meubileerders : When we reached out to them, they absolutely blew us away. They immediately stepped in and promised to cover the rest of the beds, assuring us that if any extra money was needed to ensure the family was looked after, they had it covered.
​Because of this incredible generosity, a family that lost everything now has a comfortable, safe place to rest and rebuild.

Thank you to everyone who has shown up, donated, and proven that even the heaviest storms are no match for a community with a big heart. 🏛️✨

As you all know, we were waiting with open hearts for Baby Rihan to be released from the hospital, but life had other plans.

It is with profound sadness that we share the heartbreaking news that Baby Rihan has passed away.💔

​Born in November 2025 with Down Syndrome, little Rihan faced many challenges during his short life, yet he touched the hearts of everyone who crossed his path.

​We would like to sincerely thank everyone who contributed towards his admission and care, as well as those who so generously donated baby clothing, milk, and essential supplies. Your kindness and support have meant the world to us during this incredibly difficult journey.

​As we look ahead, we would like to keep these special donations safe to support the next little one who enters our care.

However, we completely understand and respect that some items or sponsorships were given with Rihan specifically in mind. 💙

If you would prefer to have your donation returned—whether to help another family you know or for any other reason—please feel free to contact us, and we will gladly arrange it.

💜Be the Reason a Child Belongs 💛

​Meet Jazzlin. She is 11 years old, full of life, and was born with cerebral palsy. For a long time, her days on the farm were quiet, and while her mind was running freely, she longed to learn, play, and just belong.

​Everything changed when she found the ASD Sean Kelly Center in Worcester.

Today, she is one of 42 children thriving in a community where disabilities don't define them, and every day is filled with dignity, connection, and purpose.
