🌳💚 WE CHALLENGE YOU TO GROW A GREENER WORCESTER!

Imagine if every business that sponsored a tree inspired another business to do the same. Just think of the difference we could make together!

Following the loss of many trees during this year’s storms and flooding, WCID is inviting businesses, individuals and community groups to help bring the greenery back to our town.

Here’s how you can get involved:

🌱 Sponsor a tree. Help replace the trees we’ve lost.
🤝 Nominate another business or individual. Challenge them to sponsor a tree too.
🌳 Keep the challenge growing. Every new sponsor brings us one step closer to a greener Worcester.

Our town has plenty of empty tree boxes waiting for new life. With your support, we can restore our streets, create more shade and help make Worcester beautiful again.

💚 Who will you nominate to take up the challenge? Tag them in the comments and let’s get Worcester growing!

For sponsorship details, tree specifications and more information, contact Christina at [email protected].

One tree can make a difference. Together, we can make a lasting impact. 🌿

🌿 We care about our community💚

Our WCID team recently spent time doing community work at the school in Napier Street, helping to keep the surroundings clean and neat.

Pastor Ruth is always so appreciative of the assistance, and it’s wonderful to see how these efforts make a difference to the people and places in our community.

A big thank you to our team for the work they do throughout the C*D. 💪

Beginning of this week, our WCID maintenance team was hard at work in Riebeeck Street, giving the area a good clean-up and spraying to help control the weeds growing along the pavements.

It’s all part of our ongoing cleaning schedule throughout the C*D, working street by street to keep Worcester neat, clean and welcoming for everyone. 💚

A big thank you to our maintenance team for their continued efforts in caring for our town!

🌿 Unexpected little visitors in the Garden of Remembrance🐾🐣

The Garden of Remembrance has recently been home to two very different little families!

Our team discovered a mother dog who had given birth to six puppies in the garden. Thanks to Sandy’s Eden for stepping in to help, and to Dr de Wet for ensuring that mom and her little ones receive the care they need. We appreciate everyone who helped make sure they are in good hands. 🐾

And there’s more news from the garden! A Cape Wagtail has also welcomed three little chicks, with its eggs hatching in a nest tucked away in the lavender. 🐣

From caring for our public spaces to the little lives that find shelter among them, the Garden of Remembrance continues to remind us of the importance of looking after our surroundings.

A big thank you to everyone who helps us care for this special part of Worcester. 💚🌿

🌿 Keeping Worcester clean, one street at a time!

Our WCID maintenance team follows a continuous cleaning schedule throughout the C*D, working through their designated areas to keep our streets and pavements neat and tidy.

Here they are hard at work in Baring, Durban and Adderley Streets. 💚

And a little kindness along the way makes the day even better! ☕ A big thank you to the friendly resident who treated our team to coffee. Your thoughtful gesture was much appreciated!

It’s wonderful to see our community showing appreciation for the people who help keep Worcester looking its best. 🤗
