Praise God for life!

Puerto Rico has taken a historic step by recognizing unborn children as legal persons from conception. Senate Bill 504, signed into law by Governor Jenniffer Gonzรกlez Colรณn, ensures that unborn children have legal protections, including insurance coverage, inheritance rights, and representation in certain circumstances.

This landmark law passed both legislative chambers with strong support and took effect immediately. Pro-life organizations celebrate this as a major affirmation of the inherent dignity and value of every human life.

May this remind us that every life, from its very beginning, is precious to God and worthy of protection.

๐ŸŽ„ A Christmas Message from Baby Savers SA ๐ŸŽ„

This Christmas, we give thanks to our supporters โ€” your love and commitment help save lives and bring hope where itโ€™s needed most.

To every precious baby safely relinquished โ€” you are loved, valued, and your life matters.

To all the mommies, especially those who chose safety and life for their babies โ€” we honor your courage and strength. You are not forgotten.

Today, we also remember with tender hearts the babies lost to unsafe abandonment.
๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ May their little souls rest in Godโ€™s eternal love, and may we continue working together so no baby is ever left without hope again.

Wishing you a blessed Christmas filled with peace, compassion, and light.

A December Mommyโ€™s Story

She is 26 years old.
And on the 3rd of December, she brought a perfect little girl into the world, a tiny heartbeat wrapped in hope, a daughter she loves with every corner of her tired soul.

But love, on its own, doesnโ€™t pay rent.
It doesnโ€™t stretch food.
It doesnโ€™t make space appear where no space exists.

Right now, she is sharing a single room with her cousin and her cousinโ€™s husband, three adults and now soon a newborn, the air already thin, the cupboard already empty.
She has overstayed.
They are struggling.
And she knows it.

A family member offered to โ€œhelp,โ€ but with a price no mother should ever have to pay.
Give me the baby, but you cannot see her.
Return only when your life is perfect again and even then, you must repay me first.

That isnโ€™t help.
That is heartbreak in a different shape.
And she walked away from that option with tears burning in her throat.

She loves her daughter.
She truly does.
But she has no job, no secure place to stay, no support system stepping in, no one holding her hand while the world shakes under her feet.

The social workers at the hospital, they nod, they listen, but they do not move.
Excuses.
Delays.
Doors that will not open.
She feels like she is drowning with her baby in her arms.

And while the rest of us are decorating trees,
planning meals, rushing for gifts, she is simply trying to breathe.
Trying to choose the safest path in a life that has never offered her an easy one.

She is not a bad mom.
She is not โ€œgiving up.โ€
She is a mother with love in her chest
and no ground beneath her feet.

She needs:
โ€ข A safe place to stay
โ€ข A job
โ€ข Gentle guidance
โ€ข A chance
โ€ข Someone to listen
โ€ข A little time to stand up again
โ€ข And the reassurance that she is not walking this alone.

There are so many mothers like her,
quietly breaking, quietly trying, quietly hoping someone will see them before itโ€™s too late.

Tonight, before you sleep,
keep her in your heart.
Because while the world is celebrating,
she is simply trying to survive and still be a mother worth remembering.

The Department of Social Developmentโ€™s draft Childrenโ€™s Amendment Bill criminalises baby savers and safe relinquishment.

The DAโ€™s Private Members Bill does the opposite- it legalises baby savers, baby safe havens and safe relinquishment. Submit your support and submission on the DAโ€™s bill before 16 November 2025 at [email protected] and copy in [email protected]
