Access Chapter 2 has participated in the World No To***co Day celebration in Tembisa.

We heard various school group presentations on strategies to prevent youth from smoking.
Access Chapter 2 proudly participated in the World No To***co Day celebration in Tembisa. The event brought together learners, educators, and community stakeholders to raise awareness about the dangers of to***co use among young people.

We were inspired by the various school presentations, which showcased innovative strategies and powerful messages aimed at preventing youth smoking. It was an informative, engaging, and enjoyable day that reinforced the importance of creating healthier, to***co-free communities.

The matter was postponed/remanded, and the trial is now expected to resume on 11 November 2026.

We remain committed to court monitoring and to standing in solidarity with survivors while advocating for justice and accountability.

Join Access Chapter 2 (AC2) and partners this coming weekend for World No To***co Day, which is commemorated annually to raise awareness about the harmful effects of to***co use and ni****ne addiction, particularly among young people.

In recent years, the rise in va**ng and e-cigarette use among youth has become a growing public health concern in South Africa and globally.

For decades, Big To***co heavily advertised in q***r publications and sponsored Pride events, pushing a false narrative that smoking equated to liberation.
