​Resting Towards the Next Season
​
Nearly 20 years ago, God placed a vision on Xenia's heart to serve the homeless community in the Pretoria CBD. It has been the absolute greatest privilege of our lives to witness His love on the streets and watch people be loved back to life.
​But seasons change, and sometimes obedience means stepping back to reflect, heal, and listen. Kingdom Culture is entering a intentional season of rest. We aren’t resting from the work, but rather resting towards what God has for us next as we redefine what this ministry will look like.
​
The Work Continues: Please know that the locations and communities we have loved so dearly will not be left behind. We have hand-delivered all of our projects to other incredible ministries and passionate individuals who are ready to carry the torch and continue serving these areas.

We ministered to several people during the night. One man we met has such a pure heart; he has been on the streets for three weeks after leaving his family to search for work. He was very emotional because he truly doesn't want to be in this situation, so we prayed with him and encouraged him.
​
We also spoke with an elderly man who holds a diploma in theology. He has been reluctant to go home because his family is involved in worldly things, but we prayed with him and encouraged him to return home so he can be a positive, godly influence on them.
​
Another man we met had never heard the gospel before. It was an absolute joy to watch him receive Jesus as his Lord as we shared the good news with him.
​
Another individual only had a black plastic bag to sleep with. When we began to pray with him, he started manifesting, but soon the peace of the Lord transcended over him and he recommitted his life to Christ.
​
Finally, we met a man who is a true inspiration. After being discharged from the hospital, he fell on the pavement, injured himself, and was robbed—yet he is still beaming with the love of Jesus. It is so easy to lose faith when the harsh reality of the streets is so overwhelming, but his life is a powerful testimony of how to stay full of the love of Jesus in the midst of hopelessness.
​Our timing with the blankets was perfect. The nights are freezing, and everyone was incredibly thankful when we handed them out.

We love hearing and seeing how God is working in lives. One of our volunteers shares how they saw someone find peace and victory over troublesome dreams through His grace.

We ministered with several people during the night. One individual has such a pure heart; he has been on the streets for three weeks, having left his family to search for work. He was very emotional because he doesn't want to be in this situation. We prayed with him and encouraged him.
​
An elderly man we met holds a diploma in theology. He has been reluctant to return to his family because of their lifestyle, but we prayed with him and encouraged him to go home and be a positive influence on them.
​

We also met a man who only had a black bag to sleep with. When we prayed with him, he experienced a period of intense spiritual struggle, but soon the peace of the Lord transcended upon him and he recommitted his life to Christ.

One individual was a particular inspiration. After being released from the hospital, he was injured when he fell on the pavement and was subsequently robbed; yet, he is beaming with the love of Jesus. It is easy to lose faith when the reality of the streets is so harsh, but he is a testimony of how to remain full of God's love in the midst of hopelessness.

​​From under the bridge to a brand new life. A powerful reminder that it’s never too late to turn to Jesus. Lula chose Jesus and is seeing radical changes in his life!!! Lula started as a member at our Atterbury Street Church, and now serves with us at Atterbury as well as Pretoria CBD!!
