We had the privilege of hosting Sivan Yaari, Founder and CEO of Innovation: Africa, at the Rabbi Cyril Harris Community Centre Tues 13 October 2026.
Sivan’s address was immensely powerful and meaningful, and she captivated the audience with her charm and humour. She is a most remarkable woman who has brought clean water, light and opportunity to communities across Africa through solar powered water solutions using Israeli technology.
Sivans’s Award-Winning Impact includes an Innovation Award from the United Nations; Light of Israel Award from the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs; listed as one of the 50 most influential Jews in the world in 2023 and the Bertie Lubner Humanitarian award through the Absa Jewish Achiever Awards.

To date Innovation: Africa has successfully implemented this solar technology in 1400 villages across 10 African countries impacting over 6 m people and over 4m people still have no access to clean water across Africa.

Sivan is truly Inspirational
