Living in a predominantly religious world, how does one distinguish between the truth and the lie? Is the practice of religion the Way and the correct way to salvation and the way to the Father? If it is through religion, which one, since there are several religions? And if not what is the formula that man should use to draw close to God? Jesus responds to religious sensing - they were not measuring their religion or whatever but through faith in the name of Jesus only John 14:6 this means that no human being has the capacity to obey any law whatsoever, not even the Law of Moses who according to the bible was not given to the Israelites to be saved through it but so that they would not trust in their own effort for justification. Galatians 3:19 Jesus made this very clear to religious Jews that no one can be saved unless chosen by God Himself. John 6:44; The apostle Paul makes this matter even clearer. Romans 9:11-17;; John 8:24; Galatians 5:16. Who is the creator of religion and who does religion serve? Satan himself, through the system of false worship, was the architect of religion John 8:41-44; Romans 3:20; Galatians 5:1-5; Acts 15: 10-11; Luke 11: 46. Religion is the effort that man makes hoping and believing that through it God will justify him from his sins and consequently be saved, which becomes useless according to the gospel. When did religion start? Genesis 3:23-24. What is the correct way to worship God? John 14: 6 and John 8:24; Galatians 5:16. For thousands of years religion has been regarded as the vehicle linking man to the Father the Creator of Heaven and earth; which is incorrect. Jesus the Christ came into the world precisely to change this picture. The Church was founded by Christ and religion was founded by the man behind Satan both are opposites and with totally contrary purposes. The Church represents the government of God and religion represents the government of Satan. There is more than one definition for religion: But the broader one is that religion represents the false system of worship, which is the system we've lived in since the fall of man or man-made (kosmos) instigated by Satan himself for the purpose of to turn mankind away from the True worship which is through election in Christ. Within this religious system there are several sects and denominations. Religion has as a common denominator: The practice of works with the objective of gaining the favor of God, thus refusing the free salvation that comes through faith in Jesus the Christ. You must not wish to be in a religion; on the contrary, you must aspire to be in relationship with the Creator God Almighty Creator of Heaven and earth through faith in Jesus the Christ. Jesus came into the world so that man may rest from his works in seeking automatic justification and accept the justification that comes through faith in Jesus the Christ. The bible discourages human effort for the justification of sins Isaiah 64: 6. True worship is not possible outside of the person of Jesus the Christ. Therefore, even those who claim to believe in Christ or Christians, must trust Christ alone for their justification without observing any kind of laws or regulations of men as a way of justifying themselves before God; otherwise the grace of God will not be beneficial to them. Galatians 5: 4. Religion always presents itself as the angel of light together with its leaders. 2 Corinthians 11:13-15. Man's responsibility in all of this is the exercise of faith in the one who saved him nothing else! for it is written the just shall live by faith. Both our conversion and maintenance depend on God in Christ, never on man. All the saved were saved not by merit but by God's election and grace; no one has ever had a relationship with God through a religion; which is the practice of works aimed at the self-justification of man, which were not according to the grace and election of God Himself. Hence, religion, which is man's effort for self-righteousness, is the enemy's deception to keep man in spiritual obscurantism. This was one of the subjects that dominated the ministry of Jesus as he tried to present the model of salvation to mankind in parallel with the message of the proclamation of the kingdom of God called the gospel of the good news. Consequently, it was the Jewish religious system represented by the scribes and Pharisees that planned the death of Jesus and that at all costs tried to destroy the Church created by Christ. Galatians 1: 13-14 All religions on the face of the earth, including Judaism itself, are specific in asserting Jesus' goodness but not his divinity. Unlike Christianity that believes in the divinity of Jesus, but with a mixture of Judaism. Galatians 3:10-11; Galatians 1: 6-14. This mixture, however, does not translate into true worship either because the bible reproaches the mixture between salvation through faith in Christ with the works of the Law that is Judaism!
