Happy Birthday to Ioana (pronounced I-wa-na), our Project Manager for the Bright Start Tutor Program at Kronendal Primary School! 🎂💫

With her engineering background and passion for math and science, Ioana brings incredible vision and precision to our curriculum every single term. But she doesn't stop at numbers and formulas; drawing on her background in gymnastics and scouting, she weaves physical movement and play directly into learning. Her sessions are dynamic, interactive, multi-sensory, and always packed with energy!

Thank you, Ioana, for making learning an adventure and bringing so much joy, dedication, and active fun to our Bright Start students. We hope you have the happiest birthday and a wonderful year ahead! 🎉🎈✨

🌟 Huge congratulations to Naeemah! 🌟

We are thrilled to celebrate Naeemah for her incredible achievements at Wynberg Girls' High School! She has been appointed as the Head of iKhala House, a prestigious role selected through a highly competitive process of formal applications, speeches, and interviews, where Naeemah truly stood out.

As Head of House, she will serve on the School Council, helping shape the broader leadership and direction of her school. On top of this remarkable milestone, Naeemah was elected by her peers as a representative and serves as the Deputy Chair of the Representative Council of Learners (RCL).

To be entrusted with both of these vital leadership roles is a testament to the immense respect she has earned from both staff and fellow learners. Her hard work, dedication, and genuine commitment to serving her community make us extraordinarily proud.

This , we’re celebrating our very own Carmen! Beyond her incredible work leading our team at Bright Start as our Operations Manager, Carmen is breaking boundaries out on the ocean with the National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) as South Africa’s first-ever Class 1 female Coxswain. 🚤⚓

Her bravery, leadership, and determination prove that no horizon is too far. Carmen serves as a powerful reminder to every child in our program, especially our young girls, that courage knows no limits. You can step into any room, take the helm, and achieve anything you set your mind to.

We are so proud to have such an extraordinary leader guiding our community! 🌟

Every quarter, our board members, including a Chartered Accountant, a bank manager, an educator, an executive coach, and community leaders from Imizamo Yethu and Hangberg, gather to reflect on our progress. Together, they evaluate what worked, refine our approach, and map out the best way forward for our community. We are so grateful for their vision, leadership, and unwavering commitment! 💡✨
