Kronendal Music Academy of Hout Bay Our aim is to break the cycle of poverty and unemployment.

An award winning after-school programme using the healing power of music to build self confidence and the magic of music to develop skills which entrepreneurs need, to be successful.

For 19 years, the sound of music has echoed through Kronendal Music Academy.

Our weekly lounge concerts in the afternoons, like the one in this video, are one of the opportunities for our young poeple to learn about self-confidence and self-esteem - and resilience - in a safe and encouraging environment.

But, due to a loss of funding, KMA faces the heartbreaking possibility of closure. If we close, hundreds of children lose a place where they feel safe, supported, inspired, and seen.

The KMA Jazz Band performed for a wonderful audience this past Saturday morning, as part of the Cape Town Big Band Jazz Festival 😃

We had so much fun! Christian soloed on marimba, Josh soloed by himself on stage, and even Mr Renaldo and Zakhiel had a "trumpet duel"! 😂

Kronendal Music Academy was established to utilise the healing power of music to help our young people develop the self-confidence and hope to build their future. Over 19 years, we have watched many young people choose many different pathways in their lives, and we would like to tell you about some of them....

However, today KMA is going through one of the most difficult periods in our history and without urgent support, we face the heart breaking possibility of closure 😕
