A meal can do more than fill a tummy. It helps fuel a child’s day, from exploring something new and joining in at playtime to discovering the joy of learning.

Through our ECD Feeding Programme, Masicorp provides young children in Masiphumelele with two hot meals and fruit snacks at our supported ECD centres, helping support their growth and development during these important early years.

Because good nutrition is about more than food. It’s part of giving children a stronger start in life.

Happy World Teachers’ Day

Sometimes, learning starts with something small, a question someone takes the time to answer, a new skill someone helps you discover, or simply hearing “try again, you can do this.” And sometimes, those little moments stay with us.

Today, we celebrate our ECD teachers, Learning Labs Coordinators, Learning Labs Assistants, ICDL facilitators and volunteers who make these moments happen every day across Masiphumelele.

We support this year’s theme, “Standing with teachers: 60 years of protecting the profession, advancing its status and shaping our futures,” and stand with teachers while recognising everyone who helps make learning happen across our programmes, from ECD and Ukhanyo Primary School to our Learning Labs, ICDL and skills development programmes.

From a child taking their first steps in learning to an adult building new digital skills, every bit of support matters.

Another proud moment for Ukhanyo Primary! Our Grade 5, 6 and 7 learners took part in the OLICO Maths Education - Times Table Challenge, putting their times-table skills to the test throughout the competition.

And we have two achievements to celebrate! 🎉 Kungawo Ngcayecibi made it into the Top 5 at the OLICO Maths Education Times-Table Grand Finale, while Sibusiso Madevula was recognised as a Spot Winner for taking part in the most challenges.

Well done, Kungawo and Sibusiso and a big well done to all our Ukhanyo learners who took part!
