New Bethel Baptist Church - Yorktown The church was founded in 1864, at Shady Banks in York County by Thaddeus Nettles, the first Pastor. Reverend Edward G. Boston, MD, FACOG is the current Pastor.

The Church moved to several locations and has stood on the current site since 1925.
