Keystone Kidspace is a 2026 Blue Star Museum! Starting on Armed Forces Day, Saturday, May 16, 2026, and ending on Labor Day, Monday, September 7, 2026, Keystone Kidspace will be offering free admission to currently serving U.S. military personnel and their families.
As a makerspace located inside the historic York Armory, Keystone Kidspace is especially honored to participate in Blue Star Museums. Built in 1913 and home to the Pennsylvania National Guard for more than a century, our building has a deep military legacy. Offering free admission to military families is one meaningful way we can honor that history while welcoming a new generation of families into this community space.
This summer, military families visiting Keystone Kidspace can explore hands-on STEAM exhibits and creative maker activities designed for kids and grownups to learn and play together. From engineering challenges and art projects to building, tinkering, and imaginative play experiences, there is something new to discover with every visit. Families can also enjoy special seasonal programs and events throughout the summer as Keystone Kidspace celebrates creativity, curiosity, and community.
Thank you to the York County History Center for providing these historical images of our building!
