Learning is fun! Even during the summer time! From classroom learning, to outside arts, to stem activities, our summer program offers it all. Today’s activity was the “marshmallow and toothpick challenge” which is a popular hands-on STEM activity where students design and build freestanding structures. The primary goal of this is to build the tallest possible tower or the most earthquake-resistant structure using only these the materials they were given. This activity was very engaging and introduced everyone to basic engineering principles, physics, and geometry.

We are very proud of our board member, Katelyn Lewis!

Congratulations to attorney Katelyn Rohrbaugh Lewis on being named to the 2026 Pennsylvania Rising Stars list! She is a member of the firm's Real Estate, Litigation and Liquor Law groups. Kate regularly collaborates with a diverse group of clients, including restaurants, hotels, commercial retailers, brokers, property management companies, and non-profit organizations.

Each year, no more than 2.5 percent of attorneys in the state are selected for the Super Lawyers Rising Stars list. Candidates must be 40 years old or younger or have been in practice for 10 years or less, making this recognition a notable honor for emerging legal leaders.

Today we had the opportunity to bring our mentees out to support and experience the Stop the Violence event here! They helped with event setup, learned about valuable community resources by visiting vendors, participated in engaging activities, and connected with organizations dedicated to making a difference in our city.

The best part was seeing our youth leave empowered, encouraged, and equipped with bags full of food, resources, and other goodies. Experiences like these expose our young people to opportunities, services, and positive community connections that can help shape their future.

A special thank you to the event organizers and all of the vendors, volunteers, and community partners who made this event possible.
