Dear Ryleigh,

Oh my gosh, this is it! You’re my girl! Let me start by telling you who I am! My name is Mack! My friends here at 4 Paws have lots of different nicknames for me, but one of my favorites is Big Mack. Did you know there’s a place called McDonald’s and they actually named a sandwich after my nickname?! You can walk right in and order a Big Mack! I’ve never had one myself, but I’ve heard they’re pretty good. My trainer also calls me Mack & Cheese and Mack Attack sometimes! Do you have any nicknames? I was actually named after Mackenzie from Bluey. I haven’t seen the show yet, but maybe we can watch it together sometime?!?! I can’t wait to meet you, Ryleigh, and become your new best buddy. I have a feeling we’re going to have lots of cuddles, lots of laughs, and lots of fun together. I’m so ready to start this adventure with you!

I'm so excited to tell you about my journey to becoming a service dog. I hope you're ready for an awesome story!

I was born at a special place called 4 Paws for Ability. Right from the beginning, kind staff and volunteers helped me to learn and grow in the Puppy Enrichment Program (PEP). It's like school for puppies, where we learn important things every day to get ready for our future jobs.

After that, I went on a cool adventure to take part in our prison program. It was a unique experience, and I learned a lot! The people there helped me grow and learn even more, so I could be the best service dog ever.

I was so lucky to have four fantastic Volunteer Trainers, Gary and Sandy Bowman, Amie Earls, Rachel Hanna, as well as Tracy and David Hanna. They gave me foundational training in my manners, commands and public work, teaching me how to behave in different situations. They were my best friends, helping me grow into the amazing service dog I am today.

When I was ready for advanced training, I worked with the incredible staff at the 4 Paws facility. They taught me everything I needed to know to be the perfect service dog for my bestie, Ryleigh. It was like going to a special school just for me!

Now, I'm all set to be the best companion and helper for you, Ryleigh. I can't wait to meet you and share more adventures together!
