Hey Brandon, it's me again, Jake!
I come from the Angel Paws litter, named in honor of a very special boy who came before me. Because of that, I know just how important angels are, and I've heard all about your angel, Sophia, your very first service dog. She was so special to you, and nobody could ever take her spot in your heart. I'm just so proud to step up and be your sidekick now, keeping her memory shining right alongside us. I know my role, and I'm right here whenever you need me. Whether you need a steady paw during a tough moment or just a buddy to lean on, l've got your back! I'm so excited for all the cozy moments ahead, like curling up right beside you while you play your video games.
I'm so excited to tell you about my journey to becoming a service dog. I hope you're ready for an awesome story!
I was born at a special place that you're very familiar with, called 4 Paws for Ability. Right from the beginning, the most awesome family, the Rylands, took me and all my littermates and my momma into their home! They helped me to learn and grow in the Puppy Enrichment Program (PEP). It's like school for puppies, where we learn important things every day to get ready for our future jobs.
After that, I went on a cool adventure to take part in our prison program. It was a unique experience, and I learned a lot! The people there helped me grow and learn even more, so I could be the best service dog ever.
I was so lucky to have a fantastic Volunteer Trainer, Tammy Kessler; she gave me foundational training in my manners, commands, and public work, teaching me how to behave in different situations. She was my best friend, helping me grow into the amazing service dog I am today. I also spent some time with Paige Burge and the rest of the Yellow Springs Police Department! I think I was a fan favorite around there!
When I was ready for advanced training, I worked with the incredible staff at the 4 Paws facility. They taught me everything I needed to know to be the perfect service dog for you. It was like going to a special school just for me!
I can't wait to start our journey together. See you soon Brandon!
Happy smiles and wags,
Jake
P.S. Be sure to pick out the coolest Halloween costume for me!
