We had a great turnout at the Juneteenth event at Lexington Park this past Saturday! It was truly a community effort to bring everything together, and we’re so grateful to everyone who participated and helped make the day special.

A special thank you to Pastor Will from Immanuel Baptist Church for donating the hot dogs and cheeseburgers — your generosity was greatly appreciated and helped make the event a success.

Thank you as well to the Lexington Park Group for hosting, and to Terri’s Table and Friends for providing additional food and support throughout the event. Events like this remind us what can happen when a community comes together.

Looking for a fun, family-friendly event TODAY?
Join the Greene County Beekeepers Association for their Honey Harvest Fest at Camp Greene in Yellow Springs TODAY from 11 am- 3 pm!
Enjoy interactive activities for all ages, including supervised honey extraction and filtering, beeswax candle rolling, and observing the honey bottling process. Guests can also explore displays featuring beekeeping equipment, bee suits, video footage of bees, and a closed observational hive.
Pure local honey and other bee-related items will be available for purchase, with proceeds supporting the bee club’s mission and programs.
This event is free, and no registration is required!

Join us as we come together to celebrate the 162nd Juneteenth at Lexington Park on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at 5:00 PM.
This meaningful evening will honor freedom, unity, and community through music in the park by DJ Chris Bruce, liturgical dance, spoken word, fellowship, and a tribute balloon launched in loving memory of those who lost their lives in the fight for freedom.
Refreshments will be served, and covered dishes are warmly welcomed. Special guest appearances include longtime East End resident Colleen Copeland Matthews and Delora Buford-Buchanan.
Food will be lovingly prepared and shared by Terri’s Table and Friends.

Don’t forget the Flag Day 250 celebration in Greene County is happening tomorrow!
Join us on Sunday, June 14, 2026, as we celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary with a patriotic community event themed “Red, White and YOU!” This FREE event is open to all ages, and everyone is welcome to attend.
Enjoy live music, free hot dogs and snacks while supplies last, and a variety of family-friendly activities throughout the day. The celebration will conclude with the annual Flag Retirement Ceremony, a meaningful tradition honoring our nation’s flag and those who have proudly served under it.
