A very special thank you to Alisia Mynameisvictory Smith, the Fitness and Wellness Director at the YMCA in Xenia, for presenting Rock Steady Boxing to our club today and how it is designed for and benefits patients with Parkinson's Disease. Very cool program at our club meeting today with Patrick Higgins from "Patrick Goes Native", who shared with us the extreme importance of insects to our environment and the urge to propagate more native plants in our yards and decrease our use of insecticides and pesticides. We also had the pleasure of presenting a $1000 check Coach Lewis for the Xenia Takedown Club.

Today we were honored to hear the words of President Eric Nelson from Athletes in Action and a couple of his associates about the 60th anniversary of the organization and how sports can open doors to share the Gospel with others. We also got to share some funding from our grant fund with Xenia Community Schools for the high school's upcoming TSA Nationals in Washington DC ($500), as well as with Greene County Public Health for their annual WIC Community Baby Shower in August ($1,000). What a great day to be a Xenia Rotarian!!
