Meet Butters 🧡🤍

This little guy came through our TNR program yesterday, but his incredibly sweet, friendly personality had us considering a different next chapter for him.

After getting to know him, we’re giving Butters a chance to find an indoor home of his own—with soft places to sleep, a family to love, and all the affection he’s so eager to share. 🏡🐾

We’re looking forward to learning more about this handsome boy and will share his adoption profile very soon. For now, help us welcome Butters! 🧡

Thank you to all those TNR heroes on the front lines out there fixing cats on the streets to combat the overpopulation crisis!!!

Fostering saves lives.
Rescuing saves lives.
TNR helps decrease the amount of lives needing
to be saved!!!!

All aspects of rescue are vitally important. TNR attempts to fight the overpopulation crisis head on…. out on the streets where generation after generation of cats are being born into rough lives where they are just trying to survive. While that specific cat being TNR’d might not end up with a plush indoor home, they will not be producing future generations of cats to suffer on the streets.

This sweet little girl is safe with us after being found with a littermate deep in the woods at a campground. We suspect they were abandoned. 💔

She arrived very hungry, but her friendly, loving spirit shines through. At around 5 months old, she’s already soaking up the kindness and care she deserves. ❤️

She’ll be available for adoption very soon! For now, her days are filled with good meals, a cozy place to rest, and plenty of love. 🐾

People don’t see the side of rescue where we are grieving the ones we couldn’t save. When everyone else turned their heads but us. We are constantly grieving other peoples neglect. This image may be offensive to some but to me it’s a reminder she had someone see her, someone got to grieve her & someone tried to save her. How crazy is it I had to beg the person whose property she was on 3 years ago, just to get her spayed? And 3 years later I get a call she’s dying. Did they notice she was declining months before the call. Maybe, maybe not. Either way she didn’t get a fighting chance because “she’s an outdoor cat”, “it’s unnatural to get them fixed” & “maybe she just wasn’t strong enough” These are the type people you meet when you do TNR. One thing I’ve learned while doing rescue is just how easy it can be to become bitter. Constantly explaining why they can’t just live off of hunting, constantly explaining why they shouldn’t keep reproducing. As the cats are skin and bones because they don’t get fed anything but parasitic mice. (If their lucky to have caught anything that day) As multiple of the litters have died in front of them. As multiple of the females that keep having litter after litter look 10x older than they should. As cats with baby teeth are already pregnant. As the cat who got injured/attacked waits outside to be put out of their misery. As the toms are all scratched up and mangled from fighting each other. Sometimes you really get tired of explaining empathy to people who just don’t have it. Everyday’s a reminder of why you do rescue. Because if not you, who?

This October, we’re joining forces with Catster Magazine to turn National Feral Cat Awareness Day into , a time to learn more about feral and community cats, the challenges they face, and how even small changes can make a huge difference.

These cats may live outdoors and have limited contact with people, but they are still an important part of many communities and deserve care and compassion.

One of the most widely used approaches for managing feral cat populations is trap-neuter-return (TNR). Through TNR programs, cats are humanely trapped, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and returned to their outdoor homes. Through surgical sterilization, TNR reduces feral cat numbers without culling or disrupting stable cat colonies.

National Feral Cat Awareness Month is also an opportunity to learn how to safely interact with community cats, support local TNR efforts, and recognize when a cat may need additional help.

Catster has compiled its resources on feral cats, TNR, community cat care, and related topics to make it easier to find reliable information and learn more about helping cats living outdoors.

Our sweet beautiful Sylvie has been adopted! 🥹❤️

Sylvie was one of four girls we rescued from a trailer park where cats were having litter after litter. They weren’t being fed or given shelter, and a resident was even kicking them. Sylvie deserved so much better.

Now she has a safe, loving home of her own. We’re so grateful to her adopter for giving her the life she deserves. Happy tails, Sylvie! 🐾🏡

Sylvie’s happy ending is what we want for every cat in our care. Here are our other adoptable cats who are still waiting for their people! Please share and help us find their families. ❤️

We LOVE Sparky. 🥹❤️

He is incredibly sweet, playful, and absolutely adores other cats. His two littermates were adopted together, and now it’s Sparky’s turn to find a home of his own. We’d love to see him with another kitten or cat to play with! 🐾
