Community News: Attorney General and Congressman to Join Worcester Public Schools' Stand Against Racism Campaign Launch - Campaign in Response to Incidents at Athletic Away Games
WORCESTER – Wednesday, September 23, 2026 – On Tuesday, September 29, Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell and Congressman Jim McGovern will join Worcester Public Schools in formally launching the Stand Against Racism campaign in collaboration with the YWCA Central Massachusetts and the Worcester NAACP
A large assembly will take place with students from all of the district's high schools. The Stand Against Racism Pledge will be recited, along with remarks from Campbell, McGovern, students, and others (listed below).
The campaign was soft-launched at the start of the school year by Superintendent Brian Allen in response to a series of racist incidents that victimized student athletes at away games.
