🚨Date Change: The Pipelines in our Backyard event originally scheduled for tonight has been rescheduled to Monday, March 16th, 6:30-7:45pm.

Together with Climate Action RI and a few other local groups, we're part of the No Pipeline Expansion Northeast coalition, doing the important work of opposing expansion of fracked gas infrastructure in our communities.

Some of this expansion is proposed right here in Northern RI. That's why we're excited to invite you to join us at a community info session in Burrillville, to learn together why gas pipelines are bad neighbors. It's on Monday, March 16th, 6:30-7:45pm at Jesse M. Smith Memorial Library (100 Tinkham Ln, Harrisville, RI 02830). Please RSVP at https://actionnetwork.org/events/pipelines-1

Volunteers from a few community organizations got together to do a big cleanup over the past few days. We filled about 20 of these blue bags, probably between 1250 and 1500 pounds in total. To those in our community who have voiced concerns about the litter in public spaces: we hear you.

We believe that we're all in this together, which means showing up for all of our neighbors. Thank you to the City of Woonsocket for providing the bags, tools, and pickup. And thank you to every organization and community activist who's taken part in the ongoing effort to keep our city clean, and to advocate for a Woonsocket that's open and compassionate to everyone who lives here.
