🎅 Help us make Sensory Santa possible this Christmas!

Last year, more than 100 families with children with special needs joined us for Sensory Santa. Each family had private time with Santa, professional photos, a gift, an ornament to make, hot chocolate, and a pony ride. Watching families enjoy those moments together is something we’ll never forget. ❤️

We’re preparing to welcome families back on November 21, December 5, and December 12, and we need sponsors to help bring it all to life! Sponsorship opportunities include Presenting, Santa, Gift, Craft, and Hot Chocolate Sponsors.

Idlehurst Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit therapeutic riding center. Your support helps us create a special holiday experience for families while supporting our therapeutic riding programs throughout the year.

So grateful to celebrate today and also for our wonderful volunteers who helped make sure the farm was prepped. We are so blessed. Shelly McKinney and Caitlin thank you for everything!!!

Freedom looks a little different on the farm.

Before the fireworks begin, there are fields to mow, animals to feed, stalls to prep, fences to check, and one more trip through the barn.

The work doesn’t stop for the holiday, and truthfully, we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Tonight, as you gather with family and friends to celebrate 250 years of American independence, we simply ask that you celebrate thoughtfully. Clean up fireworks debris, be mindful of neighboring farms, pets, and wildlife, and remember that not everyone experiences the evening the same way.

We’ll end our day generations of farmers have, with one last look across the pasture and one final walk through the barn.

Because while the sky is loud…

They’re safe.

Happy Fourth of July from our farm to yours.

Today is not just another quiet day on the farm.

It’s a day of reflection. A day of gratitude. A day of remembering the men and women who gave their lives for this country and the freedoms we often take for granted.

While the horses still need feeding and the sun still rises over the pastures, today carries a different kind of weight. Freedom was not given lightly. It was defended through courage, sacrifice, and lives laid down far from home by people who believed in something bigger than themselves.

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor those who never made it home. We remember the families who carry that sacrifice long after the uniforms are folded away. And we remain deeply grateful for the freedoms we get to live each day because of them.

Today the farm is still but our gratitude runs deep.

Well… Mother Nature had other plans for us this weekend 🌧️

Out of an abundance of caution for our vendors, families, and all the little feet we love seeing at the market, we are rescheduling this Saturday’s Farmers Market to May 9.

We are so sorry for the change, but we know this will make for a much better (and drier!) experience for everyone.

👉 Vendors: Please let us know if you’re still able to join us on the new date so we can plan accordingly.

We’ll be sure to spread the word to the community so everyone is aware of the update. Thank you all so much for your continued support—it truly means the world to us.

Now let’s all cross our fingers for sunshine and perfect market weather ☀️🌿

See you May 9!
