Happy Founder’s Day!

Today we honor Sigma's founders.

104 years ago today, six nursing students founded Sigma Nursing on three values: love, courage, and honor. They could not have imagined how far their idea would grow.

Today, more than one million nurses around the world have been part of Sigma: students, educators, researchers, leaders, and nurses caring for patients and communities. If you're one of them, this day is yours too.

Thank you for being part of Sigma's story and for helping write its next chapter.

Today, Sigma Nursing’s Board of Directors announced a leadership change, effective immediately.

We recognize the impact this situation has had on our staff, members, and broader community. Leadership is in place to ensure continuity, and the Board has begun the process of identifying an interim CEO.

We remain focused on supporting our community, rebuilding trust, and sharing additional updates as appropriate.

Sigma Nursing is sharing the following statement regarding concerns raised publicly today:

Sigma Nursing is aware of the concerns raised publicly regarding private communications involving its CEO. We recognize the seriousness of the issues being raised and have spent today working to understand the facts and determine the appropriate next steps.

The CEO has been placed on leave while the matter is reviewed.

Sigma is grounded in the values of love, courage, and honor. Those values call us to act with integrity, treat people with dignity, and hold ourselves accountable. We are committed to approaching this matter with the care and responsibility it deserves.
