Today is only August 6th and we already have several Veterans who need our help this month

Every move-in is different

Some Veterans only need large furniture items that we purchase and have delivered directly to their new home. Others need just a few essentials that one volunteer can handle. And some are starting completely from scratch and need everything

Behind every successful move-in is a great deal of planning, coordination, generous donations, and incredible volunteers who are willing to give their time

UPCOMING VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY

American Legion Post 3 Adopt-A-Highway Cleanup

Date: Saturday, August 8
Time: 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
Meeting Location: Intersection of State Park Road and East Mountain Creek Road (near Parkwood Baptist Church), Greenville, SC
Who is Invited: Active-duty military, veterans, military families, and anyone who would like to serve alongside us.
Equipment Provided: Safety vests, trash bags, and litter grabbers.

This event is an opportunity to:
Serve our local community.
Build friendships and camaraderie.
Protect Greenville's natural beauty.
Demonstrate the American Legion's commitment to "Service Above Self."

We don’t always get advance notice of when a Veteran will be moving in, but we are always ready to help

Our organization is purely run by volunteers who are always willing to assist at a moments notice and your generous donations

We accept gently used furniture and household essentials

To ensure every Veteran has a fresh start we provide beds, bedding, towels , kitchen, bathroom and cleaning kits (see Walmart & Amazon QR codes)

When we don’t have donated furniture to give, we purchase the necessities so monetary donations are always welcomed (see Paypay and Zelle QR codes)

Sat 7/18, our volunteers helped a 4 year Army Veteran make her house a home and this is her testimony...

"Moving into a new apartment is a blessing. This veterans organization made an incredible difference in my life by helping me obtain household furniture and essential items.

Through their generosity and the support of caring volunteers, I was able to receive furnishings that transformed an empty apartment into a welcoming home.

Your service continues to change lives one veteran and one home at a time. Thank you."

A huge thank you to Sweet Tea Station for hosting our chapter alongside Veterans Are Heroes as we work toward our goal of 75 first aid kits for our recently homed Veterans! 🇺🇸
