May 19, 2026 WCRC training evening was fun,exciting and busy. We had 30 plus in attendance. We had four of our ten instructors present and they were joyfully busy. We had five first time flyers and six continuing their training. One new visitor joined the club (a former rc pilot) and got checked off to fly all in his first formal visit. Wow just a great evening. The weather was hot but we had a nice breeze throughout the evening. All in all we had seven first time visitors. Below are a few photos of the evening.

Just a friendly reminder of the upcoming event: June 8th- 12th. 2026 "Clear for Takeoff" Camp with one our very own female pilots in conjunction with The Roper Mountain Science Center. This camp will be held at the Roper Mountain Science Center with a couple of planned trips to WCRC Skyhawks flying field. April 28, 2026. WCRC training evening was a cloudy and cool evening but a great turnout with 30 plus in attendance. We had several first time flyers and a number folks continuing their training. Below are a few pictures of the evening.

VIDEO ONE: WCRC FLY-IN April 25, 2026 was a tremendous success! Last count we had about 60 in attendance with 35 pilots signed in. We raffled off about 8 planes, one drone and one DX8 transmitter, motors, and other RC plane items. We also auctioned off about five planes at a steal of a deal. We had "PLANE LIMBO" with Will Bayne wining first place and Carston Sexauer as runner up. On the "PAINTBALL SHOOT'EM DOWN" Joshua Sumner took first place with Carston Sexauer runner up. A special thank you to all those who helped get everything setup and taken down at the end of the Fly-In. An extra special thank you to several of the wives and young ladies for helping out in several different capacities. The weather was outstanding. Just a great day of Fun, fellowship and food. Thanks to everyone, including visitors you made the fly-in one of the best if not the very best we have put on. If you missed it, I'm sorry, but you can plan on our Fall Fly-in Saturday, October 24, 2026.

WCRC FLY-IN April 25, 2026 was a tremendous success! Last count we had about 60 in attendance with 35 pilots signed in. Hello club members, visitors, spectators and friends. Just a quick reminder of our Fly-In event tomorrow, Saturday April 25, 2026. Pilots$20.00 includes lunch. Spectators are free and Pizza lunch only $5.00 On the agenda: Planes to raffle, "PLANE LIMBO" challenge, "PAINTBALL Shoot'em Down" challenge, and "Airplane Combat" in the skies. April 21, 2025 WCRC Skyhawks training evening was another beautiful day with the weather being really nice. We had thirty plus in attendance. We currently have seven in our training program and several first time flyers. A special thank you to all those in attendance and to our seasoned flight instructors. Tuesday, April 7, 2026 WCRC training evening was a busy and rewarding evening. We had over fifty in attendance with nine instructors and they were busy all evening. It was great to see all the new and first time flyers as well as those continuing their training. The weather was outstanding with a small breeze and a relaxing temperature. Much of the evening we had our maximum of five planes in the air at one time. Below are a few photos of the evening.
