Join the Clear Spring Youth in our July Proverbs Challenge!
We had another great night with the Clear Spring Youth last night, as we continue our summer journey through the Proverbs.
Written and composed by King Solomon, Proverbs is one of the most practical books of the Bible teaching us how to live our lives Wisely instead of foolishly in this fallen world.
Proverbs has 31 chapters and most chapters are only 30 verses long so it only takes a few minutes each day to read 1 Chapter a day.
So here is the Challenge, During the Month of July read the Chapter that corresponds to the days date and then post your favorite Proverb on the Clear Spring page. Your participation will encourage the Youth to Read their Bible's daily.
But don't wait unit July 1 start reading today. I just finished reading Proverbs 25 and my favorite two verses are below
Proverbs 25: 21-22, NLT
21 If your enemies are hungry, give them food to eat.
If they are thirsty, give them water to drink.
22 You will heap burning coals of shame on their heads,
and the Lord will reward you.
To me this is a funny reminder that we are called to live differently than the World. Jesus calls us to Love and pray for our enemies. Matthew 5:43-48.
What is your favorite Proverb from today's Chapter?
