Vermont 100 Endurance Race

Vermont 100 Endurance Race The Vermont 100 is one of America's oldest 100-milers. It also offers a 100k option. 100% of proceeds benefit Vermont Adaptive!

It is part of the Grand Slam of Ultrarunning and is the only remaining 100-miler that includes a concurrent horse race. Each year, 450 endurance athletes (and 70 horses/riders!) travel from around the world to test their limits at the Vermont 100 Endurance Race, attempting to finish the course under the 30-hour cutoff point, with a well-trained few who can finish in under 24 hours. The current cou

rse record is 14:53:09. Featuring unrelenting rollers that add up to 17,000 feet of climbing, the Vermont 100 winds its way over country roads, through forested trails, and alongside breathtaking views of the southern Green Mountains. The Vermont 100 is more than a race. It is also a fundraiser for Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports, a non-profit organization committed to providing recreational and competitive sports opportunities for individuals with disabilities, regardless of their ability to pay. Any and all help is appreciated! 🙌

Our sister race, the Vermont50, is happening on September 27th, and they could still benefit from several more sign-ups.

It takes a village! All you have to do to give the riders and runners a terrific day is give a bit of your time and energy. Tasks include: Pre race setup, start/finish area, parking, aid stations, post race breakdown, and lots more!

… And remember, folks who volunteer at the 2026 VT50 can also apply their time towards the 8-hour 2027 VT100 volunteer requirement. Oh, and VT50 also benefits vermontadaptive. Talk about a win-win-win! 🎉

Here’s where you can sign up 👉 https://runsignup.com/Race/Volunteer/VT/Brownsville/Vermont50 Thank you!

To everyone racing, pacing, crewing, volunteering, cheering, and slamming at this weekend—good luck and have fun! You’re all GOATs! 🐐🐐

We the running owe a lot to all those who have battled this summer’s wildfire blazes, and made sacrifices of all kinds so that this special event could go on. May you all now revel in this celebratory moment, moving ever-forward, united and with full hearts. ❤️

Action! 🎬

As we continue celebrating the Vermont 100’s 35th event anniversary this year, we’re excited to share with you this special video made by Eli Burakian (Eli Burakian), our longtime friend and multi-time VT100 finisher, race committee member, and volunteer. 🙌

Eli sits down with race founder Laura Farrell, committee member Stew Stryker, ride and run participants Krista (Krista M Alderdice) and Guy Alderdice, Bill Stillson of the legendary Bill’s Barn, and local runner and volunteer Jim Yates.

Through these conversations, we learn more about everything from the first running of the race, to the connection to our beneficiary vermontadaptive, to those extra special, personal experiences that make this race home to the hundreds who do it each year. Enjoy! 💯

"I was pleased to learn as I made my way through the Green Mountains that even though times have changed in the sport and in the world, the event has remained true to its roots."

3x VT100 champ (and WSER icon!) Andy Jone's Wilkins returned to the 2026 edition of the VT100 after a 16 years hiatus, and this is what he had to say about the experience in the latest release of his "Taproom" series on iRunFar.com:

Thanks for coming back with the Mount to Coast team, AJW! You continue to enrich the VT100 community in lasting ways.

AJW returns to the Vermont 100 Mile after 15 years to affirm that it's still a special race.

Every July, the Vermont 100 Endurance Race sends runners and riders (on horses) through the back roads of Windsor County. It is the only endurance race in the country where the two share the course at the same time. The 100-mile course also happens to go right past our longtime friend Jon Voigtman's home and this year he captured the magic on a drone. Thanks, Jon! Enjoy, everyone!

rabbit was the presenting sponsor at this year's Vermont 100. Their teams crushed it in all aspects, with branded participant shirts and finisher shorts, a bumping booth at our pre-race expo, staff on course volunteering at an aid station, and so absolutely additionally cool, their CEO Monica DeVreese running the 100k!

Thank you rabbit and Monica for an incredibly memorable race!

Tanks empty, hearts FULL! ❤️

Race Director Amy Rusiecki wrote it best:

“Holy cannoli – what an amazing weekend we had! The weather was some of the best we’ve seen here, the volunteers were AMAZING, and many of you achieved PRs, maybe even crossed your first 100k or 100 mile finish line. It was amazing to see y’all and welcome you into the Vermont 100 family. The smiles, hugs, tears and memories will live on into the future…and it filled my heart with so much joy. Regardless of whether you reached the finish line or not – I hope you had fun and I am so proud of you for what you accomplished!”
