Vermont 100 Endurance Race

Vermont 100 Endurance Race The Vermont 100 is one of America's oldest 100-milers. It also offers a 100k option. 100% of proceeds benefit Vermont Adaptive!

It is part of the Grand Slam of Ultrarunning and is the only remaining 100-miler that includes a concurrent horse race. Each year, 450 endurance athletes (and 70 horses/riders!) travel from around the world to test their limits at the Vermont 100 Endurance Race, attempting to finish the course under the 30-hour cutoff point, with a well-trained few who can finish in under 24 hours. The current cou

rse record is 14:53:09. Featuring unrelenting rollers that add up to 17,000 feet of climbing, the Vermont 100 winds its way over country roads, through forested trails, and alongside breathtaking views of the southern Green Mountains. The Vermont 100 is more than a race. It is also a fundraiser for Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports, a non-profit organization committed to providing recreational and competitive sports opportunities for individuals with disabilities, regardless of their ability to pay. Your call: Pass out on a rock-hard folding table after VT100, or get a great night's sleep with Saatva!

The VT100 is excited to welcome Saatva as our 2026 Restorative Sleep Partner and official Gold Level Sponsor.

Saatva makes luxury handcrafted mattresses, bedding, and furniture at a comfortable price - and they will be giving us two beds to award, as well as giving a discount code to all runners!

Rest up and and we'll see you all very soon at Silver Hill this July! ... Keep calm and dream on.

For fun, we've added another picture of John running strong through the Sound of Music hill on the VT100 course, and made it appear like he's dreaming about the experience. Let's talk pacers!

Do you need help finding a pacer for the 2026 Vermont 100?

Or do you want to help pace a "random" VT100 runner?

The VT100 has a form for both requests on our website: https://vermont100.com/race-details/ -crew. Look under the headlines "find a pacer" and "find a runner". We'll take your info and try to help match you as best we can!

As a reminder, 100-mile and 100-kilometer runners may have pacers after their second pass through aid station Camp 10 Bear. This is ~ mile 70 for the 100-mile runners and ~ mile 32 for the 100-kilometer runners. Only runners over the age of 60 may have a pacer for the entire race.

Happy trails and see you all at Silver Hill soon!

Sometimes, there is a little in running! 😆 We’re thrilled to welcome back to the 2026 Vermont 100, this year as a Platinum Level Event Sponsor! 👏 Casella will be helping us keep Vermont green by providing dedicated dumpsters, bins, totes, and transport needs for trash 🚮 recycling ♻️ and composting 🌱. Their support lowers our overhead and ensures we can direct more funds to our beneficiary so that more people of all abilities and means can enjoy the outdoors and grow their confidence 🌻. Thank you, Casella, and we’ll see you all at Silver in July!

Runners! Our latest runner email went out last Friday (5/15), covering a lot — including sharing a blog post we wrote with an excerpt from Chuck Petersen's book "Running Just for the Health of It". Chuck (pictured) is a 10x finisher of the VT100, racing between 1991-2006, and he graciously gave us his permission to publish his words about being part of the early days of the event.

If you didn't yet, please check out the full runner email at the link below. We send these emails to help you have the best chance at success in your training and on race day. There are notes about qualifier and volunteer requirements; course changes; live timing; awards; parking & camping; a $35 athlete fundraising challenge to support Vermont Adaptive; and info on our upcoming nutrition panel happening 6/3 with silver sponsor ! + More!
