Mike Allen: A Windsor Legend

We are heartbroken to learn of the passing of Mike Allen, a beloved teacher, mentor of Windsor High School. Mike dedicated his life to his community and his students, leaving behind a legacy that is etched into the very fabric of our school.
​Mr. Allen's dedication to Windsor High School was unparalleled. He began teaching in 1973 and poured his heart into the classroom until his retirement in 2005. Yet, his commitment never truly ended. Driven by his love for his students, he continued to volunteer his time, tutoring and guiding them until 2020. Mike didn't just teach a subject; he taught character, discipline, and the value of lifelong learning.
​His second, equally cherished, passion was Windsor Athletics. For decades, if you saw a recorded video of a Yellowjacket game—long before the age of cell phones and live streams—you knew it was Mike behind the camera. He spent countless hours faithfully videotaping games, capturing the triumphs, the hard work, and the memories of every team. These recordings are now invaluable pieces of Windsor High School history, a testament to his dedication to ensuring every student’s moment in the spotlight was preserved.
​Mike Allen will be greatly missed. ​While we grieve his passing, we take comfort in the wealth of great memories he created. His life was one of service, passion, and genuine kindness. These memories will continue to put a smile on many faces, and his enduring legacy will live on through every student he mentored and every game he documented.

Hi all, dont forget, Community Dinner hosted by us is this Thursday evening! Our meal theme for this dinner is baked potato bar. This will be a half baked potato with all the fixings!

If you would like to join us in serving we will be setting up at 4:30, dinners are held at Rrinity Church.

Want to donate? We would love the help with getting the meal on the table!

Here’s what we need:
Baked potato’s
Chili
Pulled chicken or pork or ground meat
Sour cream
Cheese
Bacon bits
Chopped veggies
Bbq sauce
Ranch
Whatever else you could think for awesome toppings!

Murphy-Morse 5k is BACK!
We witness history Sunday!

We will bring this beautiful road race back to its full potential next year, and back to Saturday morning!
As we bring new energy to the association, we want to continue to highlight and support the history that got us here. The Track & Field that we get to call “ours”, sets the bar of excellence. We owe that to our community members that inspire us and to the volunteers that continue to support the culture that this athletic field provides.
It is an honor to focus on the history, support the event, and provide memories that generations can enjoy.

What a wonderful weekend! So much fun!

Hard to believe it’s over already. We plan this weekend a year in advance, and I swear the days go faster no matter how much we would like to slow them down.

It was a wet parade this year. We all rolled with the punches. We brought our own sunshine along. Tons of smiles and the best enthusiasm, and the spectators did not disappoint!
We can all be thankful that traditionally this weekend is dry and sunny, but it is good to know our town still shows up!

Attention Alumni! The golf tournament has been postponed until tomorrow 6/8/2025 at noon due to weather! The farewell brunch celebration at the Rec Center has been cancelled/altered to accommodate the golf tournament. We invite you all to join us at the golf course tomorrow afternoon to cheers to the 126th Alumni Celebration, checkout the historical memorabilia, and cheer on the teams!

The Butcher and Pantry will be joining is at tomorrow’s Alumni Event!!! Located at 32 Depot Ave.-It is behind the Farmer’s Exchange building.
We will have Axe Throwing, The Conniption Fits and Cash Bar! This is NOT a BYOB event, but we will have a wonderful section of drinks!!
It’s going to be a blast!
