While we love having kids come to the pond for our derby, we are trying something different next weekend. Our first annual “Grumpy Old Man” fishing derby, anyone age 60 and up is welcome, please register on the Windsor Rec website or call 674-6783. With community pig roast to follow. Join us for a fun filled family day.

It is time to register for our annual spring fishing derby. Saturday May 16th 2 sessions 9am-11am or 5pm-7pm, choose a session and come have a great time. Food and drinks will be provided for both sessions. We will have bait available and a few extra poles around if needed. Head over to The Windsor Rec website to register.

Had a great day working with the State Forester Saturday in a newly developed beaver pond in the Windsor Grasslands WMA (prison farm)
We protected some apple trees with fencing and cleaned up some trees and brush to allow the apples to flourish again. Always feels good to give back to our local wildlife while helping VT Fish and Game get some much needed help in the woods.

Join us Friday evening at the Windsor Fairgrounds for this fun new event. We will be scooping up some wild game chili with some for sale also. 🦌🫎🐻

Sign up using the Windsor Rec website, preregistration is not required but is appreciated. Sign-in and setup begins at 7, derby starts at 8. Hope to see lots of kids on the ice with us.

Mother Nature has been busy making ice for our winter ice fishing derby, keep an eye out as we will be finalizing plans and getting the word out very soon.
