In 1974 a group of friends, local business owners and artists sat down in Polly Billings’ living room to discuss what this community could do to promote the arts in our area. From this gathering and backed by the recently founded Vermont Council on the Arts (VCA), Pentangle was established in March 1974. 40 years later Pentangle is excited to launch its Anniversary Season with a nod to the past and an eye to the future! For 40 years Pentangle has created arts and cultural experiences that foster creativity within our community through the presentation of live performances of music, theatre and dance; screenings of films; the visual arts; and other special arts programs.

WED. 9/16 @ 6pm - ANSELM (documentary directed by Wim Wenders, chronicling the art of German painter and sculptor Anselm Kiefer)

THUR. 9/17 - Sustainable Woodstock is bringing THE COST OF CONTROL tick spraying & backyard biodiversity (documentary that follows residential tick-control practices across the Upper Valley. Q& A hosted after showing)

FRI. 9/18-SUN. 9/20 - PRACTICAL MAGIC 2 (jumps right back in to the lives of the Owen's family of witches and the curse that haunts them still)

Pentangle Arts Performing Arts After School Program
Tues. & Thurs. - 3pm drop off w/ 3:15 start - 5pm pick up
Fall: 9/22 - 10/22
Holiday: 11/10 - 12/11
Join us after school this fall & holiday season for our performing arts program. Each program will lead to a performance put on by the attendees. This immersive experience is for young enthusiasts in theater, dance, and music. We strive to foster creativity and confidence through hands-on instruction and collaborative performances.

The Pentangle Community Band - Tues. - 7pm-9pm
Sept 22 - Dec 11
Join in on the opportunity to make music with your neighbors! Lead by Parker Eastman. This experience will be working toward a community holiday performance on December 11th.

We're thrilled to welcome you tonight for a beautiful evening with the Vermont Symphony Orchestra at Saskadena Six in Pomfret! The forecast is looking favorable, and we are planning to hold the concert outdoors as scheduled.

A few reminders before you arrive:
The grounds open at 5:30 PM for picnicking.
Some areas of the hillside are muddy, so we recommend bringing camping or lawn chairs instead of blankets.
Parking is limited this year, so we strongly encourage carpooling whenever possible.
If you have friends or family who'd like to join you, tickets will be available at the door.
The concert begins at 7:30 PM.
We can't wait to share this wonderful evening of music with you. See you soon!
