June has arrived at Wimberly’s Roots, and with it comes a quieter kind of growth.🌿You may notice we’re a little lighter on the calendar and a bit quieter here online this month...and that’s by design. Behind the scenes, we’re tending, planning, and preparing for all that’s still to come. 🌱

Just like the garden, not every season is meant for showing. Some are meant for rooting deeper. ☀️ Summer begins June 21, and we’re looking forward to all the ways we’ll continue to grow together.💚 Stay connected. Share our story. And if you feel called, come grow with us. 💚

🌱Join us for our biggest FREE and family-friendly community celebration of the year at the Wimberly Center on Saturday, August 22!🌱

This year’s event is a full-day celebration of pollinators, filled with fun, learning, and hands-on community science activities across the center. We’re especially excited to partner with the Barbara Shedd Prosperity Project Inc to make this year’s experience bigger, richer, and more impactful than ever.💚

Memorial Day reminds us that freedom is never free. In this day we honor the men and women and families who gave everything in service to our country. As President Abraham Lincoln said: “that from these honored dead we take increased devotion…”

At May Right 🍎Bite, with Jake’s help, we reimagined sweetness through simple swaps that support better sugar control and better health. No one left without tips to cook and eat without losing the joy of the sweet.💚

We learn together. 🐝BEE-cause healthy eating is a form of literacy. Understanding food labels, ingredients, and how food nourishes our bodies builds that healthy lifestyle we all want at any age. With every class, our confidence grows and making small healthy changes gets a little easier 🌿

🌱Fri-YAY from Wimberly’s Roots 🌱 What an incredible week of togetherness!

From students at 🐝Austin Road Elementary to painting historic rocks at the 🐝Barrow County Farmers Market , to planting Winder Way—Barrow’s first Monarch Waystation—to building 6 new garden beds, this week was full of impact. We were joined by 🐝Sims Academy of Innovation and Technology developing another branded recipe, received a full day of service from 🐝Keller Williams Atlanta Partners Barrow Jackson on their RED Day, and lots of planting and biodiversity support from 🐝Syensqo

We’ve truly been showered with the spirit of 🐝Bee Kind, 🐝Bee Happy, 🐝Bee Well. Thank you to everyone who stopped by and joined us. We are better because of YOU. 💚 Stay connected, share our mission, and be part of what’s growing. 🐝 BEE-cause it takes all of us to keep this kindness thing going. 🌱

🌱 Wimberly’s Roots is 🐝BEE-yond excited to share something special with our community🌱

Thanks to the incredible support of local Syensqo and their amazing Biodiversity Team, we’ve officially planted Georgia native milkweed (Asclepias tuberosa) and registered our space nationwide with Monarch Watch. 🦋Please Welcome “Winder Way” Winder's first Monarch Waystation🦋 Adding to the beauty, we’ve included two butterfly bushes from Holsenbeck Farms ... a true hometown touch. 🌱

🦋This is just the first big step in a growing vision🦋 Over the coming months, we’ll continue planting and enhancing this space to support even more pollinators and bring this Waystation to full flight. 🦋
