Update on Bailey. Bailey was one of our Barrow Buddies that was in foster. Her foster mom decided to adopt her to give her the best life and care that she deserves.

When Bailey left the shelter she was not feeling well. Her foster mom took her to the vet where they found out poor Bailey had double pneumonia. She was not breathing well and had almost stopped eating.

Bailey has been with her foster mom now for a little over a week. She is finally starting to feel better.

Here are some pictures of Bailey on her new bed and her lamb chop that came off her Amazon wish list.

We have a new Barrow Buddy. I want you to meet Bailey. She is 12 years old and was surrendered to the shelter when her family lost their home.

She was not doing well in the shelter, which we all know most seniors don’t. She was posted for a foster home and a wonderful family stepped up.

She is now sleeping on a soft bed and being spoiled by her foster family.

Do you recall Boo, a shelter resident for over a year who was also heartworm positive? He was placed in a foster home, where he received treatment for heartworms and has since resided in foster care for over a year. Boo is thriving and urgently needs a permanent family. He is crate-trained, housebroken, and enjoys walking, hiking, and car rides. Boo is also affectionate towards people and compatible with other dogs, although unfortunately not cats. He is a sweet and deserving boy who merits a more fulfilling life. Boo's vaccinations are up-to-date, he is heartworm negative, neutered, and microchipped.

Diablo needs your help, he’s only a year and half old, sweet as can be, and very well mannered.

Diablo was surrendered to the shelter when his owner could no longer take care of him. He wasn’t doing well in the shelter so after a week we found him a foster. The foster fell in love with him after a week and wanted to adopt him. But noticed during that week that he was having problems with his back legs. The shelter sent him to the vet to get an X-ray and the results were that he needed TPL surgery. Unfortunately it’s not one but both legs which need the surgery. Which we all know is expensive.

We would like to raise the funds to help him get the surgery he needs. The shelter can’t afford the surgery and that’s where barrow pets steps in to hope, to raise the money that allows Diablo to live the life he deserves. So we’d like to ask the community to band together to raise the funds needed to get Diablo the care he needs. Unfortunately the vet doesn’t do over the phone payments but if you’d like to help see below.

I would like to introduce to you our newest Barrow Buddy! This is Dakota, he is 10 years old. He was owner surrendered to the shelter when his owner could no longer take care of him.

He has not seen the vet yet. But what we do know. He has severe arthritis and dementia. He does have trouble walking across the yard as his legs a real shaky and they give out. He will be a hospice baby. We will spoil him with whatever time he has left.

Thank you Teresa for stepping up to foster him. More pictures to come once he gets settled in.

On Tuesday Bruno crossed the rainbow bridge unexpectedly. We are heart broken.

Bruno needs your help! Please donate if you can.

Bruno came into the shelter emaciated back in August. He was living in a back yard, with another dog and she had puppies. Bruno the mommy dog and puppies were brought into the shelter. The mommy and puppies went to rescue. One of the puppies had to have heart surgery.

Bruno has finally gained his weight back after two months. But he is having difficulties walking on his back legs and he acts confused most of the time. He is also having diarrhea. He’s in a foster home. We would like to raise some donations to be able to take him to the vet.
