🐾 WHAT AN AMAZING PANTRY DAY! 🐾
Yesterday was one of those days that reminds us exactly why we do what we do. ❤️
We got to see so many old friends and their pets, meet lots of new families who signed up for help, and send an incredible amount of pet food back out into our community.
🐶🐱 More than 10,000 POUNDS of dog & cat food distributed!
❤️ 200+ families helped!
🐾 1,000+ dogs & cats with fuller bowls!
Our line was extra long yesterday, and we cannot thank everyone enough for being so kind, patient and understanding while you waited. We know your time is valuable, and your kindness toward our volunteers and one another was very much appreciated.
We also received enough in donations yesterday to cover the cost of our box truck rental! 🚚❤️ Every dollar donated helps us keep doing this work, and we are incredibly grateful.
A HUGE thank you to Greater Good Charities, Henry's House Feral Community, INC, Rescue Ranch and Athens Area Humane Society for helping us put food into so many bowls. We simply could not serve our community on this scale without organizations like these working alongside us.
A VERY special thank you to Mayda, Forrest, Karol, Josh and Chopper, who came out the night before to help us load the trucks and get everything ready for pantry day. 💪🚚🐾 Loading 10,000+ pounds of pet food is hard, hot, sweaty work, and these guys rolled up their sleeves and got it done! That behind-the-scenes work may not be what everyone sees on pantry day, but it is absolutely essential to making the whole thing happen. We appreciate you more than you know! ❤️
And then there are our pantry day VOLUNTEERS. ❤️❤️❤️
Enormous gratitude to every single person who showed up, lifted bags, loaded carts, checked in families, handed out food and did the hundred other things it takes to make a pantry day happen.
Extra special thanks to our guest volunteers Grace Kim, Lisa Baeszler from ONE PAW AT A TIME GA Rescue, Hannah and Jacob, and to our very talented director, producer and cinematographer extraordinaire, Jeff Linn! 🎥🐾 We can't wait to see what he's been working on!
Yesterday simply would not have gone as smoothly without everyone's help. THANK YOU.
📅 NEXT FOOD PANTRY DISTRIBUTION: OCTOBER 10, 2026
📍 Same time. Same location. Keep an eye on our page for pantry updates and other upcoming events you won't want to miss!
We're already gearing up for October. Here's where we could really use your help. ❤️
Our food-purchasing funds are currently depleted. We have two months to restock and prepare for the hundreds of families who will be counting on us again in October.
If you believe in what Georgia Pet Food Pantry does and you're able to help, even a $1 donation matters. One dollar added to another dollar—and another—means more food we can purchase and more bowls we can fill.
Whether you donate $1, volunteer, share our posts, tell a friend about us or simply cheer us on, you are part of what makes this possible.
From all of us at Georgia Pet Food Pantry, and from the 1,000+ furry bellies that left a little fuller yesterday...
THANK YOU! ❤️🐾
