🌟 The Barrow Community Foundation is excited to announce the opening of the Q2 2026 Barrow Together Grant Application Window! 🌟

Through Barrow Together, the Barrow Community Foundation continues to invest in solutions that address Barrow County’s most pressing needs. For this grant cycle, $50,000 in funding is available for local nonprofits and agencies working to improve:

🏡 Housing Insecurity
📖 Early Literacy

These priorities were established through extensive community input, including data and insight from Family Connection, United Way, local school system data, community surveys, and donor focus groups. After seeing the need and momentum created through our fall grant cycle, the Barrow Community Foundation Board of Directors chose to continue focusing on these priorities in order to deepen our impact in the community.

POV: You’re in the hot seat at the Barrow Community Foundation Scholarship Interviews this morning 🎤

We had the pleasure of meeting so many outstanding students, and we were truly impressed by the quality of this year’s applicants. Hearing about their achievements, goals, and plans for the future made it clear that Barrow County’s Class of 2026 has a bright path ahead.

This year, we received 100+ applications and will award 16 scholarships totaling $22,000 at the upcoming spring awards ceremonies at AHS, WBHS, and BASA.

A huge thank you to our scholarship committee for the time, care, and thoughtful consideration they put into reviewing applications and selecting recipients.

We’re grateful to play a part in supporting these students as they take their next steps!

Grateful to have partnered with Adult Literacy Barrow for a meaningful day of strategic planning with their Board of Directors. It was an energizing time of reflection, alignment, and bold thinking about the future.

Thank you to everyone who shared thoughtful ideas and insights on our recent post about community needs in Barrow County. Your comments helped us identify several important themes, and we’ve used that feedback to create a confidential community impact survey.

We invite you to take a few minutes to share your perspective. Your input will help guide the priority areas for the first round of Barrow Together grants in 2026, when $50,000 in funding will be awarded to support programs serving our community.

🎓 Scholarship Deadline Approaching! 🎓

A friendly reminder to Barrow County seniors and families — the deadline to apply for the 2026 Barrow Community Foundation Scholarships is February 28!

These scholarships are available to graduating seniors from all three Barrow County public high schools and include:
✔️ Opportunities for colleges and technical programs
✔️ All majors
✔️ Both need-based and merit-based awards
