📣 **NONPROFITS: Ready to Strengthen Your Grant-Writing Skills?**

Want to get better at finding grants—and writing applications that stand out?

Join us for the next **Nonprofit Success Workshop** on **Wednesday, August 26, from 8:30–11:45 a.m. at the Wimberly Center**.

Led by **Laura Green of Ovation Funding Solutions**, this **FREE workshop** will walk nonprofit leaders, staff and volunteers through the grant-writing process from start to finish, including how to:

✅ Get your organization grant-ready
✅ Find funding opportunities that fit your mission
✅ Prepare stronger, more competitive applications
✅ Understand what makes a successful grant proposal

And if you’re ready to turn what you learn into action, Laura will also lead two **Hands-On Coaching Sessions** on **September 2 and September 16 from 10 a.m.–noon**. Participants will work on actual grant applications with Laura’s guidance and feedback.

The coaching sessions are **$50 for both dates** and limited to just **10 participants**. Attendance at the August 26 workshop is required.

🎨☕ Night Sky Turns a Celebration of Local Art into Community Impact

Congratulations to Night Sky Coffee Roasters on a wonderfully successful Art Gallery Opening!

The coffee shop was filled with guests who came out to enjoy an evening of art, community and connection while celebrating the work of talented local artists. The strong turnout made the opening a true success, and the featured artwork remains on display and available for purchase at Night Sky.

We are especially grateful to owners Millie and Charlie Finch for donating the event’s ticket proceeds to the Barrow Together campaign. Their generous contribution of $3,150 gives us an exciting jumpstart toward our $25,000 fall campaign goal.

Night Sky has provided a wonderful example of how local businesses can use special events and promotions to support Barrow Together and help fund solutions to some of Barrow County’s most pressing needs.

Thank you to Millie and Charlie, the participating artists, everyone who attended, and all who helped make the evening such a success. Be sure to stop by Night Sky, enjoy a cup of coffee and take a look at the artwork still available for purchase.

We hope other local businesses will be inspired to create their own promotion, event or campaign in support of Barrow Together.

What a special day for Winder Legacy Park! 💚

Today’s dedication ceremony celebrated the vision, generosity and partnership that brought this extraordinary community space to life. The Barrow Community Foundation is proud to have worked alongside the City of Winder, the Barrow County School System and the many donors whose generosity made the park possible.

Winder Legacy Park is a lasting reminder of what can be accomplished when a community comes together around a shared vision. We are deeply grateful to every individual, business, and public partner who invested in creating a place where children and families can play, gather and connect.

Today also marks a new chapter. The Barrow Community Foundation remains committed to working with the The City of Winder and our community partners to support the park’s continued development and help bring the next phase of this shared vision to life.

Wow! We're so proud to share this amazing work by two of our Barrow Together grantees, New Path 1010 and Barbara Shedd Prosperity Project Inc! They are changing lives and making an impact on housing insecurity, and the Barrow Community Foundation is honored to support their efforts. Our best wishes go to this family as they begin their journey toward stability and success!
