Sometimes the difference between a family remaining safely housed and experiencing homelessness is simply having someone willing to help bridge the gap.

At the Barbara Shedd Prosperity Project, Inc., our Housing Stability Bridge helps local families facing housing instability navigate difficult moments and work toward lasting stability.

But this work doesn’t happen once a year. Families need support every month.

That’s why we’re launching BRIDGE BUILDERS, our new monthly giving community.

By becoming a Bridge Builder, your recurring gift helps us create a dependable foundation of support so that when a family reaches out for help, we are better prepared to respond.

A monthly gift that may feel small individually becomes incredibly powerful when a community gives together.

10 people giving $25 each month = $3,000 a year.
25 people = $7,500 a year.
50 people = $15,000 a year.

Our goal isn’t simply to provide temporary assistance. We want to help families move from crisis toward stability, self-sufficiency, and hope through housing support, case management, budgeting assistance, financial literacy, and connections to community resources.

We are in search of a full/queen size bed frame with slats or a box spring for a clients son. They have the mattress but need it to be off of the floor. If anyone has one to donate please reach out to Brandi.

4 more days until our blood drive at the Wimberly Center. Help save lives and earn a $30 incentive while you are there. Scheduled donations are encouraged but walk ups will be honored on a FCFs basis. Don’t forget this is happening 12-4 this Friday!

Did you miss one of the other local Blood Drives going on in Barrow county? We have one coming to the Wimberly center and sponsored by Barbara Shedd Prosperity Project on Friday September 25th. The Blood connection van will be in the front parking lot at Wimberly. Come by, donate blood and receive a $30 incentive. Use the QR code to register.

Thank you to the lovely staff at Barrow County Health Department for their donation of welcome home kits for our mothers and families securing stable housing.

Community collaboration is key when assisting families and these ladies are always on top of it.
