Holy cow (or sheep 🐑), that’s a beautiful stream restoration! Last week, SAN’s Agriculture & Stormwater Workgroups visited Watts Farm to tour a successful stream restoration project featuring mudsill cribbing, 1,700 newly planted trees and shrubs, upland pollinator habitat, and rotational grazing for the sheep paddock.

This is just one of the many stunning conservation projects made possible through the hard work and collaboration of SAN partners.

Did you know acid mine drainage is one of the main sources of pollution in the headwaters of the Schuylkill River? SAN's Abandoned Mine Drainage Workgroup tackles this by remediating acidity, metals, and coal silt. The workgroup also works to restore habitats affected by this pollution, helping bring life back to impacted streams.
