When disaster strikes, Delaware comes together.

On August 20, a devastating tornado struck the Dover area, leaving families and individuals facing serious damage and urgent needs. Now is the time for our community to stand together and help our neighbors begin to recover.

The United Way of Delaware’s Care 4 Dover Tornado Relief Fund is helping people affected by the storm meet immediate needs and begin rebuilding in the days and weeks ahead.

Dover needs us. Your support can make a real difference for families working to put their lives back together.

Give today. Volunteer. Stand with Dover.

Visit uwde.org/care4dover to donate and learn how you can volunteer.

All proceeds will be used for tornado storm relief efforts.

Join us August 23 from 10 AM to 2 PM for a great day at Crooked Hammock Brewery while supporting a great cause.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit United Way of Delaware’s Backpack and School Supply Drive, helping local students start the school year prepared and confident.

You can also make a difference by bringing new school supplies to drop off at the event or by donating here: https://givebutter.com/back_2_school

Come out, enjoy the day, and help us make sure every student has what they need to succeed.

This summer, learning does not have to take a vacation. We stopped by West End Neighborhood House to see the Get Delaware Reading Summer in action and how it helps kids turn summer into a season of reading, discovery, and growth. By keeping young minds engaged, we are closing the learning gap while making reading feel like an adventure. Check out our quick recap and see the summer fun for yourself!
