Big accomplishments, proud families, and a few familiar faces. 💙

Our 2026 Distinguished Alumni Awards brought the GBC community together to celebrate three graduates whose careers and contributions have given us plenty of reasons to cheer!

🏆 Vernon M. Vassallo, Rising Star Alumnus, went from first-generation college student to award-winning Delaware attorney and co-founder of Maven Law, building a career rooted in service and creating opportunities for others.

🏆 Kelly R. Cristiano, Distinguished Alumni Gallery inductee, has spent more than 25 years leading innovation in finance, tax, and technology while mentoring the next generation of professionals.

🏆 Fahim F Karim, Presidential Award recipient, has dedicated his career to helping organizations and people thrive. Today, he works with more than 300 partners to expand career opportunities across the D.C. region.

And one of our favorite moments of the evening? Celebrating the 98th birthday of Adelaide L. Orsini, a member of our Alumni Association Board of Directors and our oldest known living alumna! President Colleen Perry Keith led the room in singing "Happy Birthday." We may have been a little off-key, but Adelaide's smile made it all worthwhile.

Between the proud families posing for photos, alumni catching up over dinner, and live jazz performed by our talented GBC students, the evening was a wonderful reminder that the connections made here last long after graduation.

That's a wrap on filming with The College Tour! 🎬

Earlier this month, we had the pleasure of welcoming The College Tour crew to Goldey-Beacom College to capture the people, places, and experiences that make our campus community special.

From classrooms and student spaces to the soccer field and beyond, filming gave our students, faculty, and staff the opportunity to share their stories and offer a glimpse into life at GBC.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone in the GBC community who participated, supported the production, and helped make this experience possible. We're also grateful to The College Tour team for their creativity, enthusiasm, and care in bringing these stories to life.

250 attendees and plenty of new connections! ⚡

Our Fall 2026 Career Fair brought students and employers together for a day of networking, meaningful conversations, and exploring career opportunities.

Thank you to all the employers who took the time to connect with our students, share their experiences, and offer insight into their industries. And to our students who attended, we hope you walked away with new connections, valuable advice, and inspiration for your next steps!

The career preparation doesn't stop when the fair ends! Students are encouraged to visit Career Services for resources and guidance on resume writing, interview preparation, job searches, and more. We're here to help you feel confident and prepared for whatever comes next. 💙

Homecoming recap, Part 2: things got a little messy! 😂

Between sending people into the dunk tank and covering our RAs in pie, two of Homecoming’s most entertaining activities also gave our community a chance to support two great causes.

The dunk tank raised $390 for the Student Needs Fund, helping support GBC students when unexpected needs arise. Pie Your RA raised another $380 for Sean’s House.

That’s $770 raised, a lot of laughs, and more than a few people who went home a little wetter (or covered in whipped cream) than they expected.

Coffee, conversation, and civic engagement ☕🗳️

GBC recently welcomed Councilman and GBC alum Brandon Toole back to campus for Coffee & Civics, where students had the opportunity to talk with him about local government, civic engagement, and the importance of making their voices heard.

With the general election less than a month away, it’s a great time for students to start making a voting plan. Know how you’ll vote, where you need to go, and what you’ll need to bring so you’re prepared for Election Day.

Homecoming is always better when we spend it together. ⚡💙

From cheering on Lightning soccer and volleyball wins to visiting the food trucks, activities, and fundraisers around campus, the day gave us plenty of reasons to celebrate. But the best part was seeing students, faculty, staff, alumni, families, and our Pike Creek neighbors all together again.

Thank you to everyone who came out, caught up with old friends, made some new ones, and helped make Homecoming feel like, well, home.

The mystery is officially solved. 🔎

After more than a decade away, Bolty has made his return to GBC!

His first meeting with Strike on the soccer field may have gotten off to a rocky start, but a little quality time together at Homecoming changed everything. The two Bolts are officially friends, and Bolty is sticking around as Strike’s sidekick.

Don’t worry, Strike isn’t going anywhere. There’s just a little more Lightning on campus now. ⚡💙
