Windham Area Interfaith Ministry WAIM uplifts and unites our community by providing caring services and resources to meet our neighbors' needs with dignity and respect. of each month.

WAIM is a volunteer driven organization that serves 8,000 people a year from Windham and twelve surrounding towns. Services include financial assistance for energy needs and other emergencies. With the help of our community, WAIM provides gently used clothing, household goods and furniture to people who need them. WAIM's Partner in Independence Program offers adult mentoring to those who wish to i

ncrease their financial stability; and WAIM's seasonal programs provide help with school clothing, holiday gifts and activities, and Willimantic's longest continually operating community garden. WAIM does not check messages on this social media page often. If you are on need of immediate assistance please call our direct line 860-456-7270. Our office hours are Tuesday- Friday 9am-4pm and Sat. 9am-12pm. Shopping hours are Tues, Thurs, and Fri. 9am-12pm and the first Sat.

⭐️⭐️A new batch of FREE Adult bikes is now ready for its riders! Come down tomorrow, Thursday August 27th from 9-12pm. 866 Main Street, Willimantic. Each come with a lock and helmet. Limit 1 bike per lease/household unless living in a transitional housing. Limit 1 bike per year.

WAIM's Back to School program is underway until 6pm today and this week at 866 Main Street! Supplies are limited, on a first come , first serve basis and parents and guardians must show proof of eligibility- providing documentation of employment, snap benefits, WIC, DSS and child support is also valid verification. We are out of STEM Academy vouchers. The program is for low income families and typically advertised through our local support agencies. We still have stock left and are open through Sat. See hours below.
