Service Above Self in action!

Members of the Rotary Club of Wilkes-Barre were proud to volunteer at a recent Sleep in Heavenly Peace - PA, Luzerne Co. build day, helping build beds for children in our community who do not have a safe, comfortable place to sleep.

A huge shoutout to all of the volunteers who rolled up their sleeves and got to work. Together, the team built an incredible 100 beds before lunchtime, demonstrating what can be accomplished when a community comes together for a great cause.

Every child deserves a bed of their own, and we are grateful for the opportunity to be part of this meaningful project.

The Rotary Club of Wilkes-Barre was honored to welcome Janelle Rushton, Director of Development & Marketing for Northeast Sight Services, as our guest speaker this week.

Janelle shared the incredible mission and impact of Northeast Sight Services and the many ways the organization supports blind and visually impaired individuals throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania through education, rehabilitation, advocacy, and prevention programs.

Thank you, Janelle, for the inspiring presentation and for the important work your team does every day to improve lives across our community. We appreciate your dedication to service and helping others achieve greater independence and opportunity.

We were thrilled to present the prize checks to the two hole-in-one challenge winners from the All 'FORE' Books Mini Golf Classic! Bryce made the Saturday night hole-in-one on his first putt, while Michael sunk the putt with a mulligan shot on Sunday. Congratulations to both winners and thank you for attending the event!! ⛳📚

The Rotary Club of Wilkes-Barre is excited to continue our long-standing tradition of volunteering as bell ringers for the Salvation Army this holiday season. This annual effort is something our club looks forward to each year, a simple act that makes a big impact for local families.

We’ll be ringing the bell at Sam’s Club next Tuesday, December 16th, from 10 AM to 2 PM.
