Today is World Hepatitis Day. Over 287 million people worldwide are living with Hepatitis A, B, and/or C. Hepatitis A and B have vaccines available, and Hepatitis C has a cure, so more work needs to be done to make both the vaccines and the treatments more readily available, especially to at-risk populations, so we can work toward reducing and eventually eliminating this viral infection.

On June 27th, we recognize National HIV Testing Day. This day is a reminder that knowing your HIV status is one of the most important steps you can take for your health and well-being.

HIV testing is quick, confidential, and empowers individuals to make informed decisions about their health. Thanks to advances in prevention, treatment, and care, people living with HIV can live long, healthy lives, and those who know their status can access the support and services they need.

At Caring Communities, we believe that knowledge is power. Whether you’re testing for the first time, testing routinely, or simply learning more about HIV prevention options such as PrEP, we’re here to help.

Let’s continue working together to reduce stigma, increase awareness, and ensure that everyone has access to the care and support they deserve.

Tomorrow is June 19th - also known as Juneteenth! Caring Communities will be CLOSED to observe this important day.

On Juneteenth, we celebrate freedom — not just the end of slavery in 1865, but the ongoing fight for justice, equality, and access.

Juneteenth reminds us that while progress has been made, there’s still work to do. Black communities continue to face higher rates of HIV and limited access to reproductive healthcare — not because of choices, but because of systemic barriers.

At Caring Communities, we believe freedom includes the right to quality, stigma-free HIV and reproductive health services. That’s why we show up every day — to support, to advocate, and to care.

Here’s to liberation, health equity, and building a future where everyone is truly free. ❤️🖤💚

June is Pride Month — a time to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and recognize its lasting impact on the fight against HIV/AIDS. 🏳️‍🌈

Throughout the HIV/AIDS epidemic, LGBTQ+ individuals, advocates, healthcare providers, and community organizations helped raise awareness, fight stigma, and push for better treatment and care. Their efforts changed countless lives and continue to shape the public health response today.

At Caring Communities, we honor that legacy by remaining committed to connecting through care, wellness, and support for all. As we celebrate Pride Month, we also reaffirm our commitment to compassion, inclusion, and access to quality healthcare.
