And once again, the mission behind SRM is taking hold!

Long-time Society member and supporter, V Box Land and Livestock, was one of the regional winners of the Environmental Stewardship Award Program organized by National Cattlemen's Beef Association. Erika Fitzpatrick, part owner in the ranch, helped launch Good Grazing Makes Cent$, and along with her mom and siblings is taking those principals to heart as they battle Medusahead, conifer encroachment, and other range management issues.

Join us in congratulating and rooting for the Bentz family for the national award to be announced in February at CattleCon.

Check this out!

Past President Ortega is all that SRM stands for IN ACTION:

Applying range science on the ground in a way that is so impactful the ranch was recognized by the Environmental Stewardship Award Program organized by National Cattlemen's Beef Association. As 1 of 7 regional winners, the Bloody Buckets Cattle Company will be in the running for the national award to be announced at CattleCon in February.

Watch this video about how the families on the ranch have built a resilient, sustainable operation that prioritizes land health over short-term production.

πŸ‘ Thank you for helping spread the word!

We're grateful to AgDaily and Tri-State Livestock News for publishing SRM's June International Year of Rangelands and Pastoralists op-ed highlighting Sustainable Rangeland Use and Restoration.

Healthy rangelands don't happen by accident. They're the result of thoughtful stewardship, science, and collaboration.

If you haven't had a chance to read it yet, now's a great time. And if you have, we'd love your help sharing it with your networks.
