It can be a great time of year.
It can be the most difficult time of year.
Be kind and patient with those you share air with.

Overdose deaths are highest during December and January (and March).
Cold weather increases the risk of fatal opioid overdose for many reasons:
💠Opioids are known to decrease core temperatures.
💠The cold (and opioids!) promote respiratory depression.
💠People tend to spend more time alone in cold weather.

A BIG THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HAS DONATED! 🫶

We’ve received 15+ jackets, 10+ hoodies, 10 scarves, 15 beanies, 15 pairs of gloves, a handful of winter and everyday socks, blankets, thermals, and more!

If you’re near Littleton, we can arrange a donation pick up and come to you.
You can also donate via Venmo, Paypal, our website, or our bio. We use monetary donations to purchase winter essential items that we haven’t received or don’t have quite enough of yet.

With two weeks left of our Spread the Warmth: Winter Essentials Drive, we’ve encountered a glitch! 😱

Our Wish List isn’t cooperating with us, so we’ve added each donation item request to our website under the Donate section with the Amazon link attached. Our delivery address can also be found there to enter into Amazon when you’re purchasing any donation items! 📦

Every donation helps us extend our reach and helps keep people experiencing homelessness in our community this Winter warm! 🧣🧤

We’re doing a Winter Essentials Drive!

As the weather gets cooler, those experiencing homelessness struggle to keep warm each day. Let’s come together to get them the essentials needed to stay warm. We hand deliver these items to people on the street and in encampments, to those less likely to seek out shelter help. No one gets overlooked.

We’re requesting:

💠 Winter hats/beanies
💠 Scarves
💠 Winter gloves
💠 Winter jackets&sweaters
💠Merino Wool & everyday wear socks
💠 Hand &Toe warmers
💠 Thermals
💠 Fleece-lined pants and leggings
💠 & Anything else you think might help!

How can you help prevent deaths from opioid overdose?

1️⃣ Carry Naloxone (Narcan, Klaxxado, etc.) 👜
2️⃣ Test your drugs (Carry Fent Test Strips) 💊
3️⃣ Never use alone (Buddy System or call 1-800-484-3731) ☎️

🫵 GOT NARCAN? ⤵️

Narcan is OTC, and more brands of Naloxone are following it’s path. It’s a start towards accessibility, but not enough.

We’re going to keep handing them out for the cost that they should be….FREE! 🗣️

While building our online presence is important, being out in the community is by far our top priority. Expect to see more content from us regularly soon though - including showcasing our community efforts more often.

We hit the streets at least twice a month (usually weekly) to give out Narcan, fentanyl test strips, harm reduction resources, and more. Look for us in shirts/hoodies that say “ASK ME FOR FREE NARCAN”. It’s no strings attached - we’re not out there to sell you on our nonprofit or ask you to donate. We want to make it as easy and comfortable for you as possible. Everyone should carry Narcan, and everyone deserves easy access to it for free!

Stay tuned for more online updates, and as always we’ll see you in the streets!
