🏗️ Foundation to Finish Friday: There Is Sunshine in Our Soul Today! ☀️🏡❤️
The past two weeks have brought to mind the beloved hymn “There Is Sunshine in My Soul Today.” Even when the rain doesn’t cooperate (Sunday’s all-day rain pushed back some of our concrete work!), there’s still plenty of sunshine in the progress being made at The Home That LOVE Built! ☀️
We’ve made wonderful strides, and it’s exciting to see so many pieces coming together as our new home takes shape!
🏗️ Here’s the latest from the construction site:
🌬️ Ductwork & Sprinkler Piping: 80% complete! The essential systems that will make our building comfortable and safe are coming together.
🧱 Insulation: Interior and exterior wall insulation is 100% complete, with attic insulation at 30%.
🔨 Drywall Is Taking Shape! Drywall installation is now 40% complete, and we’re beginning to see the interior spaces come to life!
🏡 Exterior Finishes: Vinyl siding and exterior insulation are 100% complete! The EPDM rubber on the porches is 90% complete, and soffit and fascia work is 85% complete.
🚪 Garage Door Installed! A huge thank-you to for the generous gift of the garage door and installation. Your kindness is helping bring this project to life! ❤️
👀 Did You Notice the Dentil Moulding? Those little details make a big difference! It’s exciting to see the character and finishing touches that will make this building feel like home.
☀️ The Next Two Weeks Are Looking Bright! We’re looking forward to having the site concrete roadway and two entrance stoops poured on Monday, along with continued drywall installation, roofing gutter work, hollow metal (HM) door frames, and termite treatment. Even with a few weather-related delays, there’s so much to look forward to!
Every milestone brings us closer to a place where our Carroll County neighbors can find practical assistance, encouragement, dignity, and hope. What began as a vision is becoming a home built on LOVE—and we couldn’t be more grateful!
