(HSP) is an independent, non-profit organization that gives HOPE, inspires CHANGE, and provides OPPORTUNITY by mobilizing our community in the fight against poverty. As a private, 501c3 non-profit organization, HSP coordinates over 20 services and manages over 30 different grant funding sources.

Jeremy Willet and friends stopped by our Night-by-Night (NBN) Shelter this morning to treat participants to Husky Hut Coffee Company and donuts! Thank you for spreading kindness and reminding our neighbors that their community cares.

Want to make a difference, too? We’re looking for individuals, families, and groups to prepare dinner for our NBN Shelter participants. Sharing a meal is a simple but meaningful way to show you care!

🎉 We’re bringing a little extra excitement to The Disruptive Series: Community Resource and Job Fair with some very special guests!

The Green Terror from McDaniel College will be stopping by from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. and Lightning from Carroll Community College will be with us for the ENTIRE event, so you’ll have plenty of opportunities to say hello and snap a photo!

☀️🍔 Last week we hosted our annual Shelter Cook Out! HSP staff and volunteers stepped away from their usual roles to serve a special meal to our shelter participants. We loved seeing everyone come together to enjoy good food and laughter!

Thank you to our generous donors who provided the funds for the food, so we were able to make the day extra tasty!

We’re grateful for the opportunity to share a meal, spend time together, and create a little joy and connection for the people we’re honored to serve. 🍔☀️
