The Robert Moton Judy Center Early Learning Hub serves families living in the RME school district who have children birth through age 5.

We can’t believe October is nearly over! We have one more objective for the month to highlight-asking children questions about a story when reading to them to build their thinking skills. It is important not to ask too many questions, though-just one or two is a great start. We want children to enjoy story time and not feel like it is a quiz. You might ask “What do you thinks going to happen next?” before turning the page. Reach out if you have any questions and enjoy the pictures from this week’s playgroups.!

We missed our Wednesday group while we were attending a state meeting but here are pictures from Monday and Tuesday! Getting ready for school even meant we practiced a fire drill with our Monday group. Doing the drill with support from their parents/guardians means drills will be a routine the children are familiar with when they come to school. We love helping children to get familiar with our school and school routines!

One of our favorite family events of the year is almost here, and we need your help! 👻 We’re collecting candy donations to make sure we have plenty of treats for everyone who joins the fun!

Judy Center families, did you know that you can participate in Robert Moton Elementary PTO's trunk-or-treat?!

The PTO is looking for families to HOST trunks (decorate a trunk and hand out treats) and/or make candy donations.

You may see pumpkins, leaves, spiders, and children having fun, but they are also getting ready for school! One thing we are working on this month is exploring new objects to build curiosity and a love for learning.
