We are honored to welcome Amanda Clark-Wahl as our Keynote Speaker for NCC 2026.

Founder of Cocktails & Caregivers, Amanda has built a national movement dedicated to supporting caregivers through connection, storytelling, and community. After caring for her husband through colon cancer while raising a newborn, and ultimately navigating his loss, she turned that journey into purpose. Known for her honest, relatable style, Amanda blends humor and real-life insight with the kind of perspective only lived experience can bring.

Caregiving can feel isolating. The National Caregivers Conference is built to change that.

This year’s theme, Connected in Caregiving, focuses on strengthening the connections that support caregivers every day. Amanda’s work reflects that vision - creating space for caregivers to feel seen, supported, and less alone.

Today, Joe should be turning 43.

It’s hard not to think about all the life he still had ahead of him. The businesses he was building. The things he wanted to do. An 11-month-old daughter he absolutely adored. A million friendships, I’ve never met anyone who could maintain relationships the way Joe did.

And of course, his beloved Chicago sports teams. I still miss the sound of SportsCenter playing through our house.

I wish he could see us now. I know he’d be so proud of the way we’ve kept living, kept loving and turned some of the hardest parts of our story into a way to help other people. And I don’t think he’d believe that his beautiful little girl is about to turn 13.

I love that our biggest Cocktails & Caregivers fundraiser falls on his birthday weekend. It feels like a little reminder of why all of this started and gives us one more reason to raise a glass to him.

Happy 43rd birthday, Joe.

We miss you. We love you. And thank you for all the love you gave us.
