Valerie Stokes, Accounting & Benefits Manager for The Arc of Indiana, recently attended the JMT Consulting Innovate Conference, where she connected with professionals from other nonprofit organizations and explored new ways to better use our accounting software and financial reporting tools.

For Val, one of the greatest takeaways was the opportunity to build relationships with others working in the nonprofit space while gaining practical knowledge she can bring back to support stronger systems and reporting at The Arc.

We are grateful for team members like Val who continue looking for ways to improve the work that helps move our mission forward.

The power of local Arc chapters is in creating opportunities for real people right here in Indiana.

Great work, Nick and The Arc of Evansville! You are making your community better, brighter, and more inclusive, and we love to see it. ๐Ÿ’œ

Good Things Happen When Everyone Belongs

Through The Arc's Community Pathway Hubs, neighbors like Nick are out making a difference. When he found a planter dumped on North Main Street, he cleaned it up, refilled the soil, and replanted every bloom. Come summer, his care will brighten the whole block, and that's the power of inclusion in action.

Your gift fuels actions like this. Now through June 15, every donation is matched. Give today online at www.arcofevansville.org (Donate Now) or mail to 615 W. Virginia Street, Evansville, IN 47710.

Thanks to a $100,000 grant from The MolinaCares Accord and Molina Healthcare of Indiana, we are expanding our Advocacy Leadership Network. Through our partnership, we are excited to be able to support more Hoosiers with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in living, learning, and working, so they can fully participate in their communities.

The Advocacy Leadership Network is built on the belief that people with IDD deserve the tools and opportunities to be self-sufficient and independent, and to have a voice in the decisions that shape their lives. Through two virtual curriculum tracks focused on leadership and advocacy and health and wellness, participants will build the confidence and knowledge to advocate for themselves, which has demonstrated to improve quality of life. With Molina's support, funding program delivery, facilitator training, and statewide expansion, we'll be able to reach up to 100 Hoosiers with IDD this year alone.

We are grateful for Molina's investment in the Hoosiers we serve and look forward to sharing the impact of this work.

The MolinaCares Accord grants $100,000 to The Arc of Indiana to support independence for Hoosiers with disabilities.

Itโ€™s Trust Tuesday! ๐Ÿ’™
Today, weโ€™re answering a common question: Who is a trust beneficiary?

Understanding terms can make future planning feel a little less overwhelming, and our team is here to help everyone better understand how special needs trusts work and when they may be helpful.

Do you receive SNAP food assistance benefits? Expect to receive a text message to ask you to participate in a survey starting today, Tuesday, June 9.

FSSA will be contacting SNAP recipients via text message from the phone number ๐Ÿ‘‰ 43816.

The text message will include a link that takes recipients directly to the survey. Participating in the survey is voluntary and will not impact a household's SNAP benefits.

The Indiana Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA) is conducting the Healthy Food, Healthy Life Survey to evaluate the impact of the Smart SNAP on June 9, 2026.

This anonymous survey will be offered every six months to SNAP recipients to gather information about SNAP knowledge, shopping routines, and eating and drinking behaviors.
